One Year Later - Yes.commers still requesting, still spinning, waiting patiently for the next single. Congrats!
WARNING!! Yes.com is a strange and scary place. A Web Site right outta a Stephen King Novel,,so, please read this post before entering!!!!
WHY VOTE YOU ASK?
Each registered user gets 1 vote per spin per station. Votes and the history of spins are used in calculating the station's Chart Position for the song at Yes.com. Although our votes have minimal impact, it can mean the difference between 21st and top 20 or 11th and a top 10. The BEST part is we are watching HISTORY in the making!
Yes.com VOTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. In the David Cook chat room, you'll see each time one of his songs is played at one of the 4,000 radio stations on Yes.com the current song is highlighted in blue
2. Click on the Station's Call Letters, this will open the station's yes.com chat room
3. Click the YES Icon and hit enter before the song ends, only 1 YES is required to vote
4. Go back to the David Cook Chat room under the Recently Viewed Channels box on the left side of the screen.
You can also vote on in the David Cook Chat Room too,,just do it before the next song starts. NOTE: If you do vote in the David Cook Chat Room, we'll probably mute you!
REMOVE CHANNEL TRAFFIC in the CHAT ROOM:
You can remove the Switch messages by switching to another channel yourself. Keep in mind, when you switch it creates Channel traffic for everyone else. You can also remove channel traffic by using your Refresh or Reload button instead of switching to another channel. This eliminates you causing traffic for other people. BUT, you will turn those red buttons blue again when you do it!
USING THE MUTE FUNCTION:
You can remove Chat and YES vote messages from other voters by setting the MUTE button. To do this, go to the voters ID and click on the Blue button (or circle) by their name. Their chat and votes will no longer appear on your screen and the next time you Switch to another channel, the history of their chats/votes will disappear. VERY handy during peak spins to keep the screen from scrolling too fast. Remember, if you use the Refresh or Reload button in your process, the red buttons will turn blue again.
YES.COM SYSTEM WARNINGS for INTERNET EXPLORER USERS:
BASICALLY, DO NOT USE IE FOR YES.COM!!!!!
If you have no choice, and have to use IE, when you click on the Radio Stations call letters, you'll end up in the Yes.com Lobby chat room. Press your Ctrl Key and then select the Radio Station. If you still end up on the Yes.com Lobby chat room, you have to click on the Back button to get back to the David Cook chat room and then click on the Radio Station call letters again,,then you should make it to their chat room. Another option is to just 'follow' another voter by clicking on the station call letters in their Switch message. You should go directly to that station and can come back by clicking on David Cook under recently visited Channels. I know it sucks, if you can't take it just vote in the David Cook Chat room,,,it'll count!

We WANT to know if our new singles are spinning, so if your station announces it's about to spin, tell us in the Chat, give us a link to LISTEN LIVE. We try to limit Chatting in the YES room when spins are loading fast and furious. That said, the regular Yes.comers are a chatty bunch, we do everything LIVE (ie..Cellcasts, Radio Interviews, TV Appearances) and have notorious Parties in the Room.
YES.comers are the ultimate multi-taskers, we vote on everything announced at DCO, Stream the Singles at AOL, and most importantly, REQUEST RADIO PLAY!!!

regarding KBFM, was that a Saturday pm spin?
They played it once before that I know of, back in August I think, and it was a Saturday night. It made me think maybe they have a Saturday night "dance party" program. (I remember because I tried requesting for the following Saturday night at the time, but they did not play it again.)

P.S. and YES, I fulfilled my duty and tossed my exploding drumstick in celebration!
I am probably the only one who noticed this, but the RI stations fell off of yes.com for a second time, back in the end of August. Since Jai was slowing down in her reporting at the same time, I did not mention it. I was hoping it would just be for a few days again.
At that time WSNE was the only station playing CBTM.
Anyway, they just came back online this evening! The ones that play David are WSNE, WPRO, WWLI (TOML), and WPLM. (WPLM is actually out of MA as far as I know but it was somehow connected to whatever it is that caused all the RI stations to fall off yes twice this summer,)
WSNE (HAC) still plays CBTM, LO, and TOML.
WPLM (AC) has just recently started playing CBTM. So they, too, will play CBTM, LO, and TOML.

Congratulations to all Yes.commers out there. It's been slow without a new single, but we haven't lost our roots and will be ready for the next one! Who knows without all your requests, voting - would Zenny and Windy have done so well? Does it matter?
What's important are the friendships we've built through the course of the last year. The fun we've had from NLeigh's wedding to DCTR, Coolie's 26th b-day party, Letty's 21st, Alli's 18th and Ava's,,,ummmm, well, "fairy-tale' birthday party. The 'Bus Capers', "True TV", Cell Cast parties, the amazing discussions and, of course, all the trip planning and 'recaps' we've shared make us, not only one of the most an unusual groups within the fanbase, but also a wonderful place to share ourselves and our interests.

Delilah keeps playing CBTM, and sometimes LO. That is cool to see. But I have to say that so far her stations with CBTM up in the hundreds do not seem to have it improving position from week to week.

It has been a month since I last did a report. I wasn't planning on doing another YES report on CBTM but I woke up this morning and noticed many plays and decided to report what was happening.
There are still many stations out there playing CBTM frequently. Notice that there are 5 stations where it ranks #1, 11 stations where it ranks #2, and 6 stations where it ranks #3.
There are many new stations playing it that were not playing CBTM a month ago. Many of them are AC stations but there are a few new HAC stations. It also appears that it was played on one or two syndicated shows. That accounts for many of the stations that rank in the high 200 and 300s.
Disney is still playing CBTM frequently. There are also a few Top 40 stations still in the mix.

My vote for the next single goes to Heroes or LIE.
I will be happy with Avalanche or Life on the Moon, or pretty much anything else on THE record though and will vote and request it as well....
I have no clue what the next single will or should be, but I love a naming contest, so I'll play.
I'll go with "Heroes" and suggest the following title:
"Be 'Heroes' for David Cook! We're not gonna come down, down off these clouds... we're gonna vote at Yes.com!"
I understand that this might require a little shortening. You know I can't keep myself from being long-winded, ever.

XHRYA seems to have picked up Come Back to Me.
They had it ranked n/a on Monday. Today they played it with a rank of 253.
According to Wiki, this is a Spanish language station which serves the
McAllen, Texas, USA/Reynosa, Mexico border.
As it happens, the Top40 station KBFM that played BBS last weekend, is also out of McAllen, TX.
On another note: we have not been giving kcradio updates, but they continue to play ABMB about 3 times a day, they have played BBS at least a couple times in the past week, and the played Permanent late this afternoon.
