The other man
Soooo, I know we all are completely spellbound by David, but is there another musician that mesmerizes you?
For me, it's Matt Bellamy.

Wupsi, haven't been in here for a while... Ha ha, I'm quite sure that I'm becomming Mattyhaulic. I just saw that Muse is going to play at London Wembley Stadium Saturday 11th September 2010. And I'm thinking: "Yeah, I could totally go to London for that!" Even though it's right after I've started at university and I'll have so much to do that a trip to London would be stupid. I'm probably going to by tickets for it just in case...
Hopefully you'll catch a Muse concert when they come to the US...
And at some point David HAS to come to Europe and play. I don't need a hug, just hearing him with my own ears will be enough - Even if the opportunity for getting one presented itself I would be to scared/speechless to do anything about it. heh...
Oh, and just to stay on the thread topic. I absolutely love, love, love, Zachary Quinto...

Darlasull, YEA on coming out of lurkerdom!
I hang out here and on david-cook.org, but that was the first time I posted that story. Haha, don't know why it came out here. I reckon I kinda wanted to tell it but was so embarrassed that I posted in a thread where hardly anyone would see it. LOL!
I don't really have any other man to talk about, but I just had to come out of lurkerdome to tell you, AliceCullen..........your post from Tuesday, November 3, 2009 - 21:23 made me crack up. Thanks for sharing!!!!! Very funny!
You totally said that. You are on your way to becoming Mattyhaulic. Yes, underneath = better. Let's help Matt out of the terrible outfits at once!....AND David out of the good ones. Fair is fair. (*Listening to the acoustic set from the radio station in Arizona...ROFL 'cause David's talking about the Green Man suit. That might take the cake!*)
Haha! I still think you're luckier. Though, it was kinda the best hug of my life. Can't even imaging hugging Matt though. I think I'd pass out. He's way less accessible, so I don't think I have much to worry about. So sad....
(*Just go to Lie. GAAAAAAW! Have you heard this yet?*)
By the way, your English is great! You don't even have bad grammer!
What can I say, I'm not that much into clothes... It's whats underneath that's interesting... lol... Did I just say that??
Just read 115 pages of Muse quotes here: http://board.muse.mu/showthread.php?t=869 Would love to dig out all the dirty ones for you - If I just had the time... (Ha ha, lol at myself for complaining about no time, when I just admitted to have read 115 pages on a discussion board.)
OMG - I think you are the lucky one!!! You've seen him several times AND got a hug!!! Okay, maybe the part about the pink crotch was a bit unfortunate BUT YOU GOT A HUG FROM DAVID COOK!!! I know the feeling of having done something really embarresing - you can't stop wonder if people noticed it or not... Maybe he thought that it was supposed to be there?? Okay, maybe not, but if you ever meet him again he'll hopefully not remember that you were the girl with the pink crotch...
Don't you give me any ideas! I'm crazy enough to do something like that, just don't think my bank would be happy about it... lol...
What? Your photos are great... People are just envious because they weren't there to enjoy the sight themselves...
(If my english is crappy, I apologize... and blame it on my English teacher. It irritates me that we have different comma systems - I never know when you put a comma in English and when you don't.)

That outfit was horrendous and you know it! It was worse with the old lady's coat over top (Coat+Suit), but nothing is uglier than the black coat that makes him look like a giant chicken. So, yep, everyone has identified the wrong fail.
Yay about the conversion. Don't worry if the tingling starts. Matt makes all women feel tingly. You should come join us in the PMT http://board.muse.mu/showthread.php?t=62507. What is this I hear of disturbing talk??? PM me if it is too pornographic for here. I MUST know.
Awwww, what a sweet quote! I love Dom.
I have been to five David shows and I saw him on the Idol tour (I was only there for him though...not such an Idol fan). He's pretty darn amazing. You could tell he was off his game a little bit for a while there, but considering the things going on in his personal life he stayed really strong and brave and amazing.
I saw him on Oct 15 and Oct 17 and HE WAS SO AMAZING. Sorta of the David that was buried for a while there. He sounds perfect live (bit hoarse sometimes but still amazing). He has the prettiest voice I have ever heard. I told him so, and he said "You haven't heard very many voice then, have you?" So humble! I was lucky enough to score a hug at the Oct 15th show. I barely remember it; everything went foggy but I remember enough to know that I made a fool of myself. Here's what happened: I was wearing a dress with mustard tights and boots...really cute outfit. Well, before the show I stuck my finger through my tights right near the crotch. The only color nail polish I had in the hotel room to stop the run from spreading down my leg was this dark but very bright pink, so I proceeded to paint my crotch pink and wear the tights anyways. The mustard with the pink was a truly grotesque color combination. After the show we were waiting by the buses and Dave came out. When he was autographing my CD I asked if I could have a really quick hug but was really excited and talking 90 miles a minute and jumping up and down. I got my hug! Best hug ever and his sweater felt so good (never a fashion fail here). By the time I got back to my hotel, I was beginning to realize that my dress was pretty low cut and was wondering if my boobs were flying around when I was bouncing. Soooo, I went into the bathroom and jumped. My boobs were fine but my dress was flying clear up to my waist. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Pink crotch and all! I known David was thinking "Oh geez, let me hug this poor retarded girl."
I'm trying to find someone to go to the Dec 1st show w/ me. I have a pick that I want to get signed. You should fly to the US and go with me.
Here's some pics I got in October. Everyone has picked on me for the magnitude of shots from alternative angles. I can't help it! He's got such a big fat booty. I can't ignore that! http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/album.php?aid=8166&id=100000166418358
Yes, that is indeed Matt at the piano. Ha ha, didnt' know how to describe his suit, I guess saying "grey" doesn't really cover it... lol... But I don't think his outfit was THAT bad, although I've heard people say that it is the biggest fashion fail he has ever made...
I think Matt is starting to win me over, although I find some of the things he has said a bit disturbing... (Okay, I don't find it distubing, but boy, that guy has ONE thing on his mind all the time it seems... lol... Boys will be boys...)
I still can't believe I was that close. Dom said that they would see us soon, so I'm hoping they'll be back next year.. Would be nice to be that close again. I actually think they are going to the US in the spring...
This quote just made me love Dom even more than I did before:
"Love is something that makes you smile whenever they are there, it makes you happy and gives you the feeling of contentment. It's about giving without wanting to get anything back. That's the most basic way of explaining it, when you get pleasure from giving yourself and your time to another person, expressing things and expressing another side to you that no one else knows. It's when you can talk about anything, like your worst fears - you can be truly open in a way that you can't be with anyone else."
BTW: Have you been to a David concert? I would give anything to go to one... Hopefully he'll come to Eorupe after releasing his next album. I just read that Our Lady Peace will be comming to Europe next year, don't know if it's true but I'm already looking forward to that...

OMG is that my Matty at the piano (1st album ya linked, photo 6)? *swoon*
It sounds like you had nearly the best seat in the house. Haha, calling the picture suit simply a gray suit is quite kind. It was the same one from the Q awards. I believe they were the morning of the show you attended. I like that he dresses however he wants to instead of conforming to style guidelines.
And...I like glitter too! Not that Matt needs to add anything at all in order to glitter.
Yes, the dancing is adorable... will have to look for some vid from that night to find the keytar dance. I'm officially sick with envy. Matt makes me feel funny....sorta...tingly....from all the way across an ocean. I can't imagine what it's like to be that close!!!!
BTW, Dom is pretty cute, isn't he? One of my favorite pics is of him drumming w/ his head in his hand. Hilarious!
I'm glad you enjoyed the show and thanks for the recap!!! Hearing about it has made my night.
Aaaaand - I'm back...
And no, I haven't slept this long, but my Internet connection went puff and then I've been away, checking out the university I'm thinking about attending next year. Sorry to have kept you waiting.
Monday night was SO amazing. I stood in line for 4 hours in the rain and almost got crushed by giant guys from sweden. But it was totally worth it, got to stand in second row, Matt's side. We were 17.000 people there, so I can't imagine that the people in the back were able to see very much. The opening act really lived up to their name - "The Horrors"... They weren't good and we had to wait for half an hour after they were done before Muse went on. I can't really describe the scene construction, so here are pics instead: http://www.tinyurl.dk/11382 (I hope).
They were really great and Matt sure likes glitter. He was wearing a grey suit and a blue t-shirt with silver glitter on it, he also had it on his shoes.. lol... Oh, and he is really cute when he dances. (Or at least I think it was supposed to be some sort of a dance he did with his keytar.) Dom makes the cutest face when he is drumming and at the end he threw his drumsticks into the audience - unfortunately not anywhere near me... And that is all I got for now - I think I'm in a Muse-trance...
But here are som better pics (not taken by me): http://www.dr.dk/Musik/Billedserier/2009/10/27083406.htm
If I ever get the chance to see them agian I just have to. They sound awesome and put on an amazing show.

Check out Phil Marshall. Amazing singer and songwriter. Please check out his tunes.
Jeannine
I don't really have another musician, but plenty of actors... Gerard Butler, Jason Isaacs, Craig Parker, Johnny Depp, Nathan Fillion, Alan Rickman, Antonio Banderas, Stuart Townsend, Richard Roxburgh, David Boreanaz...
But I do agree with those that say Neal. He's my favorite since Joey left.

Miss MHH, I am waiting for you! I want a full synopsis, you lucky duck. You weren't at the show where Matt was wearing the suit w/ pictures on it were you (I saw some pics)...perhaps he should have a word w/ his stylist. Hehe
Just got back from the concert, but am too tired to write anything that makes sense... (Normally I would be getting up for work in half an hour.)
It was SO great, they sound fantastic live!! - I'll be back when I'm done sleeping...
But even as tired as I am - I can still see that both Tyson and Matt rock the red suit... lol...

I am crossing my fingers too, I like your plan! I've found the pics and saved them to my computer, but now how to post them? Can anyone give me a hint? I think I need to upload them to flickr or something first, right?
It's in Copenhagen, Denmark - And I'm SO exited about it, it's going to be awesome!! Of course I would rather be going to a DC&TA concert, but the US is a little too far away (crossing my fingers for Muse going to the US and Dave comming to Europe)...
No, haven't seen him in that, got a link??
There's just something about Neal, I love all of his MWK lyrics, they are simply amazing!!

MissMHH, OMG you are SOOOOOOO lucky! Where is the Muse show? I have no hope at all of seeing them any time soon. I hope they do another US tour soon (headlining). You will have to give me a review. Did you see Tyson in that purely Matt red suit??? Neal would be my runner up in David's band. I've had certain warm fuzzies for Neal ever since I found out that he wrote Anodyne.
DC4eva, my mom is IN LOVE with Ryan! LOL. He is a cutie.
Ha ha, I have several "other men": Andy Skib, Neal Tiemann (what is it about that guy?), Raine Maida, Tyson Ritter from The All-American Rejects, Adam Gontier from 3DG and Tim Christensen (Danish singer, really cute. And I hate how Celine Dion has almost ruined this song for me: http://www.tinyurl.dk/11247)....
Oh, and I'm going to see Matt Bellamy (and the rest of Muse) tomorrow, so we'll se if I get mesmerized by him...

Haha. Yep. Andy Skib for me too. And nowadays, even Ryan Star to some extent. But, Andy Skib more.

Well that's lucky.
Andy Skib!
