Permanent for Charity - how's it doing?
Just wondering if anyone has heard any feedback on how many $'s have been raised for David's charity with the release of Permanent to ITunes. I have not be able to access this information through any website I have visited. Since we have so many hard-core fans of the man here, I thought this would be the best place to start for this info.

David's record label, RCA, donated $10,000 to ABC2 (Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure) a couple of days after the charity download became available. This gesture may or may not have been to make up for Permanent not being available right after the finale like it was supposed to be, resulting in a lot of people buying the album version instead.

According to wikipedia (not THE BEST source, I know. But still they can't be way off either) the charity version has sold ABOUT 63,000.
ETA: Why in the world isn't it being sold for $1.29? The album version is and THAT'S not the one whose proceeds are going towards charity...ridiculous if you ask me.

I really hope that there are good honest people in place that can make sure ALL of the proceeds, including the album Permanent, go to David's charity. I'm sure that David himself is keeping a close watch of the situation, since the charity holds a special place in heart.
I was thinking about the same thing! And what about the money that people spent when they bought the album version of "Permanent" because the live version wasn't made available when they said it would be?
