National Brain Tumor Society thanks you for your support of the 2009 Race for Hope - DC to benefit the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure. This year’s event was truly amazing, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of David Cook and his many fans from across the country.

After David announced his involvement with the Race for Hope DC, we at the National Brain Tumor Society were astounded by the outpouring of support from fans like you. We were moved by personal stories from many of you who have also been touched by this disease, and we were equally touched by all of you who reached out purely out of compassion and support for the Cook family and others. In the last month, you have collectively raised over $110,000 in support of the fight against brain tumors and the donations are still pouring in. What’s more, we have received many calls and emails from David’s fans who want to continue to be involved in the fight to find a cure.

May is officially Brain Tumor Awareness Month, so there's no better time to get more involved!

Help us spread the word - visit www.braintumor.org/UNITE to find out how to get more involved.
Join the fight - NBTS hosts events like the Race for Hope DC in 10 other cities across the country. Visit http://www.braintumorcommunity.org/ to find an event near you and register today! Anyone, anywhere can join us as a Virtual Rider in the Ride for Research.
Organize your own community - contact us to learn how you can reach out to your local community to build awareness and raise vital funds for brain tumor research and patient support.

Once again, thank you for making the 2009 Race for Hope DC such a success. We are inspired and grateful that you have joined the National Brain Tumor Society in our fight against brain tumors.

Sincerely,

N. Paul Ton That

I am so happy to have been a part of this in even the smallest way. Next year, I will be running... that has been my inspiration. Such heartfelt awknowledgement is so wonderful, and makes me all the more determined to do more.

David inspires me to be a better person. I am so happy that I was able to donate to such a worthy cause and to help in some way to find a cure for this horrible disease.

I don't think David is aware of how much he inspires people to follow his example. His compassion,
empathy, and sensitivity for other people is wonderful and inspiring fans everywhere to volunteer and
donate to charities. We know that this is very near his heart and I will my grey all this month.

It was a real pleasure to donate (x2!). It was a thrill to read the thread on DCO 2x 3x 4x daily to see the total of our donations rising and rising. It was incredibly sad to read about people's cancer stories - here and on the Race site. It was devastating to learn of Adam's passing and to see David break the news. But if they were astounded by us, it is nothing compared to how astounded I am by David Cook.

This is just wonderful! Thank God for David and all he does and will do for the rest of his life....

Remember to keep doing whatever you can to support this cause that is so close to David and all our hearts.

Isn't it amazing what David Cook does to us. I gratefully donated twice to the DC team and it's only b/c of Dave. I did it for DC in the beginning but then it became about Adam and now it has become a real focus for me. It is so awesomto that he has been able to use his celebrity to promote this worthy cause.

Aww that is nice! David makes me want to give and do something, something important to try and find a cure for this nasty crap!!

REMEMBER MAY IS OFFICIALLY BRAIN TUMOR AWARENESS MONTH. WEAR YOUR GREY BECAUSE GREY MATTERS!
