How simple! Never thought of that...right-clicking, etc. I think I was just double-clicking....now I feel like a dolt....I'm such a technophobe! I followed your instructions and, of course, that worked! Thank you SO much!! Thank God for the amazing and helpful peeps of DCO!

Hi MaineDCfan
If you can download w RealPlayer, you have RealPlayer installed on your computer. You can play FLV files on RealPlayer - just rightclick on the file, then select Open with. Click on option that says 'Choose default program', then select Real Player.
If you've got RealPlayer Plus (paid version), you can convert the video to mp4's that you can play with Windows Media Player, Ipods etc.

I have a question...wasn't sure where to put it. It's David-related but doesn't relate to the links posted above. It's about downloading videos from Youtube. I've always just saved links to YT vids from David's concerts in my e-mail, but I'm afraid if my favorite vids get removed from Youtube, I'll never get to see them again, so I'm trying to actually download them instead. This is the problem I'm having:
I watch one of his vids on youtube...right above the vid I can click on something that says "download this video". I click on that (I believe it's through "RealPlayer"). It downloads it, but when I then go into the "library" and try to open/play it, it says: "The selected file has an extension that is not recognized by Windows Media Player, etc." The extension is FLV. It then asks if I want to try to play it anyway; I click on yes; it says it "cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or codec that was used to compress the file."
I'm guessing it has something to do with either 1) an FLV extension, 2) RealPlayer, 3) Windows Media Player/RealPlayer cooperation, or 4) I'm a complete technophobe whose computer laughs at her attempts to do anything technical - lol.
Can anyone help with this, or suggest another vehicle for downloading (and give intructions if that's the case)? I would VERY MUCH appreciate it!! I need my DC videos like I need air - lol!
