Let's make this happen. This is a big deal here in Chicago every summer with big name acts! Very big outside in Grant Park show where Oprah was with the Olympians and David.

Great idea! Just went and pleaded for David Cook and Anthemic...5 times
So I did this. I asked for a couple of bands that my daughter would love to see there and a couple that I'd love to see there coupled with one who both of us don't mind who was there this year. I tried to make it as "non-Idolish" as possible, unless you consider anything having to do with David Cook "idolish." In that case I fail. My daughter does this every year. It's a great festival!

I agree with likethis - if you want to see this happen, keep it professional and not Idol-ish.
We'll just have to see if they try to book him & if he has the time on his 2010 tour sched. I would imagine a cabana ( as Lolla calls them) is for all 3 days, so time will tell.
BTW - having fun on twitter. You are really busy w it - where do you get the time to gather all that intel?

I put in David &TA and then added GRO, Ryan Star, The Script and my new find, Jack's Mannequin.
Do you think "booking" over and over is ok in this process or just one entry per person?
BTW - If David makes the lineup, I was wondering if we all might want to organize to get a tent with all the trimmings? Wouldn't that just be HUGE???

Darling, I don't know if you were kidding, but just in case, I don't think it would be a good idea to put David's name 5 times here. This is not American Idol or some random internet voting site. This is the real rock deal where Idols seldom get entry. I definitely think we need to leave any Idol baggage at the door before entering this place, and that would mean no duplicate entries. Take it seriously, as any fan of music would. Surely you have other favorite artists you'd like to see in concert besides David.
