I posted this on the concert thread, but will repeat here. Minglewood has 3 VIP suites available for $1000 each. One room holds 12, another holds 15, and the last room holds 18. This is an upgrade to tickets already purchased. They say it's a great stage view, private bathroom, $250 of food & beverages included, but NO guarantee of meeting the band. It MAY be a possibility but they won't guarantee it. If there are at least 18 of us, then it would be around $55 each. Any takers? There are 16 of us on the attendee list, plus I have 3 other friends going. Anyone?

You might as well be yourself. No one else is gonna do it.
Who's getting ready to rock Memphis? I know I am. You American gals better show this Canadian a good time. I'll wear a Canadian flag pin and you can't miss my hair.
I'm kind of new to this Board, but when David said on Idol tonight that the tour was only going through the summer (pretty much), I decided I'd better stop waiting around for a show to come to Texas and instead make sure I get to see this tour.....so, to make a long story short, since I found out I will have Good Friday off - I thought I might be able to swing a last minute trip to Memphis for this show.
I've been looking around and there are a few tickets on scalper sites (but most of them require buying two tickets). I saw that a few of you mentioned having just one ticket, which is all I need.
Please message me if you have one that might be available.
I will be singing at the top of my lungs! I can't wait. I saw the show in MS, on the 2nd row, and it was awsome. I lived in Memphis for 3 years and I wouldn't stay near the venue. Some areas of Memphis can be pretty iffy. I will be there early waiting in line!!
I am counting down the days. This long weekend in Memphis will make up for my current lackluster spring break that is devoted to studying? Anyone else going by themselves? I am and I hoping I'll find some fun people to hang out with while I'm there.
Well I went over to Word Nerds and they have about 10 people talking up Memphis. They are booking a room close to the venue and planning on when to get in line.
Since this is not a college event and it's the day before Easter it will be interesting to see what the demographic of the audience will be. Students in area have probably gone home for Easter or are on Spring break. Moms with little children have to play Easter Bunny so out of town trip pretty much not an option...
Who is going to be there?
I'm hoping it's a totally devoted (not stalkerish) fun lovin group that's going to give Dave and company the time of THEIR life.
Thanks Canadian Lady. I hope you are standing right next to me!
I don't know about you guys but I don't just pick the lyrics up - have to memorize them. Have got Declaration and Light On down cold and I'm doing okay with Man on the Moon and ADAM - but there are so many more!
I'm thinking Heroes is important to know the words to since he sings that first... Would wow him BIG time if we sing the whole first song with him! Don't think anyone has done that yet...
My son lives in Memphis and walked right up to the box office on the day the tickets went on sale and got tickets - no line! He chatted it up with the girl there who told him the band requested that only 500 tickets be sold - she didn't know why! He said Minglewood is awesome and it holds a lot more than 500 people.
So we are so lucky to be in the 500!
There's a video on YouTube of an AI tour show (that I can't find now) where David turns away from the crowd and says to someone in the back of the stage, "They are singing!" I'll never forget the look on his face. He was amazed, surprised, excited and thrilled to death! And proud. That's why I am so crazy about us singing in Memphis. To me, it's the one chance we have to "give back" to David.
I'll sing if you sing, Am I kidding? We'll all be singing along. Are there really only 500 tickets to this show? This could be one of the most intimate, cohesive crowds of the tour. Let's do it!!!

Looking for a Ticket
Hi,

SING!
David is the one that said, "It's probably the greatest compliment a musician can get, when the crowds sing along to all of the songs."
ARE YOU GUYS READY TO SING?!
This is what David had to say in an interview a week ago:
The audiences have been great. It's been nice to have enough people at the shows to kind of give me a break from singing every now and then.
It's probably the greatest compliment a musician can get, when the crowds sing along to all of the songs.
Let's sing everybody! All the verses, all the songs!
Sold Out!
I hate this show is sold out. I saw David Cook last Sunday at Ole Miss and oh my gosh he was awesome and I wanted to see him again! Dang!
