I have to admit I'm not much of an American Idol follower, but I loved your single "The Time of My Life" and downloaded from Itunes shortly after it was released. I again loved "Light On" and was blown away from your performance on SNL. I was looking for some new music to listen to at the gym and looked into your album. I previewed the songs and loved ALL of them! I downloaded it and began the hunt for more of your music! Your voice is amazing and you can carry your voice in so many amazing ways! I love your song Permanent the most and found it at the right time. I too lost a loved one to cancer and it will be a year since I lost my uncle to leukemia on February 3. I am inspired by what you do for cancer research and it has inspired me to "Give Back". I unfortunately did not find your music until now and missed you visiting Pittsburgh last August and look forward to finding you on tour sometime soon. I am deeply excited about your new album coming out this summer! It is so nice to see that stardom hasn't changed you!

My mom turned 66 on Oct 13th, and I bought his cd for her + I bougt one for myself. I have listened to it NON-STOP!!! I love ALL the songs but my absolute fav's are: Declaration (love the rock sound) & The Time of My life (song he sang when he won American Idol) but I also love "Permanent" as I have to wipe the tears away each time I listen to the words. My heart goes out to David Cook and family for the loss of David's brother. Sad!!! Very sorry. LOVE THE MUSIC DAVID. CANT WAIT FOR MORE ALBUMS TO COME OUT!!!
all songs are really really great! i always listen to it and it really inspires me a lot. mr. sensitive, life on the moon, lie and specially avalanche are my favorites. can't wait for him to visit and rock the Philippines again. and of course,,,, can't wait for his new album! :3
Lie is a Great song. I don't think there is a bad song from the CD. I can see a cartoon interspersed with the band's head banging for a video for Barbasol. Avalanche is beautiful... I wish they would play Silver onstage.

Thanks for finally making it to Southern California. Even though the desert was very hot that night, August 20, you still rocked the house! I brought my 5 year old daughter who totally loves you and knows the words to all the songs and we had such a blast. The entire CD is awesome! Couldn't pick a favorite if I had too. The album is fantastic, I wish you would make a video for Lies, the words to that song are so touching and no more backwards videos.. not to swell your head but you are a good looking man and for me I want to see you singing. In the last year and half my Mom (who is also my best friend) has been diagnosed with cancer for the third time, then my marriage ended. It is like so many of these songs were written about what I am going through.
I am always the strong one, for my Mom, for my kids. So with all that has been going on in my life I have never cried. Then just today I was staining my fence listening to this cd for the hundredth time and found myself crying. I felt so silly, but it also felt so good to let out some emotion.
I never go to concerts but if you ever came to Calgary, Canada I would stand in line to buy a ticket to your concert. I don’t think any cd ever has ever moved me like this one has.
It is not just the songs but the way you sing them. What an amazing gift you have. You seem like a very genuine person, and have very kind eyes. The type of person that would be nice to have a beer with.
I don’t think there is anyone who has not been affected in some way by cancer, which is why your song Permanent is so incredible. To raise money for cancer research I shaved my head, after signing up to do this I remembered that my high school reunion was 2 week later. People sure treat you differently if they think you are sick. I was ok with that because I raised over $1200.00. Which is not huge money, but my Mom came to the event and shaved my head. Just like I did for her before she started treatment.

How could you pick out a favorite on this CD?? One that has stood out for me since I got it last year is Avalanche. Of course, Barbasol is fantastic, but I think Avalanche would do well on the charts. I noticed your fan base has always been crazy about Lie, and after seeing you at the Ohio State Fair---OMG, it is now one of my favorite songs too. You change up your songs to make them new, and that is really smart!!! Between your CD, your analog heart songs, and your AI songs, that is all I practically listen to. I never get sick of your voice. I finally got my husband to admit that "you got a lot of talent," which is something he rarely says about anyone, let alone an AI person. I've seen you in Akron, Ohio and Columbus, Ohio and my 2 teenagers and I are going to see you in Allegan, Michigan. My daughter and I finally landed front row seats!!! Your shows are great---your voice is fantastic, and we love your personality. In my opinon, this time AI truly found a star!!!!!! Take care!!
