Us fantasizing women dream of having a man to love like this person in the song. We all hope and invision it's our David. His voice and the way he is 100% connected with the emotion of the lyrics and music, drives that vision on. We so risk putting him high on a pedestal that not many could reach. Cant help it!!! He has help though keeping him humble. That's the one I adore.
It makes for a GREAT love song. Easy to sing along with. As we all know too well. Cant wait for it's single debut.

soo cool that its soo universal... the relationship of the people in th song can be compared to a boy-girl (romantic) relationship or a parent to a kid or from a mentor to a student...actually any relationship that involves unceasing and unconditional love... it can also be a religious song if you would look at it in a different stand point... that's how cool this song is.... you can really see that its well written and well thought of...

This Song Really Has To Do With...
Parental situations. See, its this kid that wants to live his or her home to go out in the world and thinks that nothing wrong can happen. But later, when he or she finally realizes that they can't do it on there own, without there family, they wonder how he or she can go back home. The cool thing about the story is that, he or she's parents say, "you can come back", she knows that her parents still love him or her and promises to wait when he or she is older. That's what I think the whole song is about. I also like the song. I sometimes want to cry when I listen to that song, too.
On Second Thought. . . .
When I first heard this song, like many, I thought of the relationship between a man and a woman. As I listened again (and again) I realized that the song exactly describes the relationship I have with my daughter! Sometimes, as difficult as it is, you just have to let go in hopes that a loved one will return and all will be well. Thank you, David. . . this song gives me hope.

And I LOVE the OHHHH right before the chorus. You sound a little wounded in this song.
But I guess that is why I love it, because it's pretty and a little sad at the same time. Got a whole bunch of feelings going on with this one.
I'll Wait For You...
The first time I heard this song, I instantly knew it would be one of my favorites off of the entire album. It became a part of me, in a sense, and strangely enough, I didn't understand my immediacy to grow so attached to it. Of course, it was beautifully arranged (I mean, c'mon, it's David we're talking about here--how could it not be good?), but, most of all, it was the emotional attachment I questioned. Then, listening carefully to the lyrics, I realized that they describe how I feel about my current situation with my boyfriend. I love him, but because I do, I feel the need to let him go, to find myself after he leaves for college at the end of this school year...
Listening to this song helps me get through my doubts and allows me to overcome my fears. It helps me to know that maybe he will wait for me someday, that maybe we were meant to be.
Thanks David for this song. I think we all will never forget the importance, not to mention the impact, of its meaning.

This song reminds me of how I feel alot! The line about looking in the mirror and not recognizing the face looking back at you That is so me! I guess because this past year has been a doozy! the other perspective
i love this song for many reasons, both musical and personal. one thing that struck me while listening to the album was the placement of Come Back to Me after Light On. Juxtaposed? lol Light On is about someone needing to leave... Come Back to Me flips the coin and sees the story from the perspective of the one being left. I just thought it was an interesting decision as far as placement on the album.

Oh golly! This song is one of my favorites on the whole CD!!! David did a FANTASTIC job on the whole CD, and hiis voice sounds great!
HE IS THE BEST!!!!! I am SO impressed and I can't wait to hear more! His heart and soul pour through the songs and he really comes out and connects with all the listeners. I don't think anyone else could ever do that with 12 or so songs.
David has a lot of talent and variety, and it is beautiful to see him grow and change through his musical journey.

Even though David did not personally pen this song...he chose it or had a hand in choosing it, which to me gives it a certain importance and have to say he has good intuition. This song should be his next single. It has wide appeal and can see this being a huge hit for him. I absolutely love his vocal on this one!

Just reading the lyrics to this song brings me to tears. I think everyone, at one time or another, has been in a relationship where you reach a point where you realize you have lost yourself, and the only thing you can do is step away from it and try to find yourself again. I have definitely experienced this. I especially like where he says: I can't fix you. I can't save you. It's something you have to do. And then of course the other set of lyrics that really speak to me are the following: When you find you Come back to me.
I can feel the heart break in that, and also the love that is expressed by letting some one go.
Beautfiully written and of course sung. This song is one of my favorites.

we we got our little 30 second snippits...this was one of those songs that really grabbed me because of the tone in his voice....when he sings....when you find you...come back to me in his lower register it is just beautiful..I do find myself repeating this song a few times on the way home or to work...unfortunatly it takes me 8-12 minutes to get to work! can you imagine hoping to get a red light? that's me every day! and yes, I sing at the top of my lungs to this song! its a def keeper...I think it would make a great release on the radio.
