I just now am finding the time to comment, though I watched this within minutes of it being posted. Anyhow, I absolutely loved this performance! You are amazing and I am so looking forward to seeing you guys when you go on tour! Hurry up and post those dates!

Frankly, my first impulse after watching the Session series was to write a note something like this:

But I have to say ... well, first, you do know I love ya — you know I do! — and love every. single. thing. you. do. Which is why you have to know that I say this in this most loving-fangirl-who-cares kind of way: You seem the tiniest bit tired in this set. I miss the fire and mischief in the eyes, the razor edge in the voice. Please don't get me wrong; I don't think any of us expect you to be a superhero (no pun intended) every single day. You are a human being (I theorize, anyway). And I really did love this performance! All I'm trying to say that we all really hope that amidst the chaos, you are taking care of yourself and that spectacular voice ... <<<

... And then I laughed at myself because I realized that 99 percent of the average population would thud at the Sessions and find them perfect anyway — and the fact that I would even notice such small, trivial differences between one performance and the next means I've logged too, too many hours watching and listening to Dave stuff. Obsess much? ;o)

Other than that ...

• I really did love the Sessions set and think Dave and the boys did a phenomenal job, as they always do!

• LOVING that Andy and Neal get lots more camera time in these videos! Word Heroes and FANGurls eating that up with a spoon!

• Oh, yeah, nice camera time for Kyle and Joey too. ;o)

• "Lie" is especially breathtaking. I think "Lie" and "Bar-Ba-Sol" are actually starting to surpass "Light On" as my favorites. Or ... oh wait, no — I think "Heroes" might be superceding them all. Or ... no, wait again ...

P.S. After hearing "Lie" all acoustic and soft and lovely like that ... did any other fans run off to relisten to Dave's "The Truth" from the OklaTravelNews spot? One of my all-time favorite DC performances. Something about hearing David's' voice in "Lie" accompanied by his own nylon string work made me long to run back to that old tape. Such a tender, lovely simplicity in each.
