David Cook Covers Counting Crows at Tampa Bay Summerfest

American Idol Season Seven winner David Cook closed out the day-long Tampa Bay Summerfest celebration on Saturday with the Counting Crows' ode to a winter month -- "A Long December." Cook's concert also included the premiere of a new song, "From Here To Zero."
"We like to throw covers in the shows," Cook told the audience before launching into a poignant, stripped down version of the 1996 song from Counting Crow's album, "Recovering the Satellites."

First, I am so glad I was at Summerfest. What a great day and a great event. The folks at Irish 31 were amazing! Now, I never would have ever guessed Dave would cover "A Long December" by Counting Crows, but man I am so glad he did! He truly is the master of covers and sang this song with all his heart and soul! It left me with tears in my eyes but hope and love in my heart! Amazing song Dave. <3
