Now I just have to decide if I camp out or catch a very early bus that morning from NJ! Either way I hope I am lucky enough considering how bad I want to be a part of this, and I may have to skip two of my classes.

I was lucky enough to meet David at Saturday night live. Let me say he is one of the most humble people out there, and was very nice to us after the show despite the exhaustion expressed in his face. I hope that his growing fame does not change that about him.

That being said, even though I live only six blocks from times square, I'm afraid I may have to camp out for this event overnight after reading some of these comments

I asked about the "David Cook" event next week, but all I got was a bunch of overacted "surprised" looks...like they didn't know what I was talking about....maybe as it gets closer to the 18th, they'll be a little more cooperative.

I understand from an earlier comment that Virgin Records has nothing to do with this promotion - If I were planning to travel to NY for this (I WISH) I would be calling Hard Rock for the information as they are sponsoring this event and undoubtedly supplying the wrist bands.....

I CALLED VIRGIN RECORDS TODAY IN TIMES SQUARE TO INQUIRE ABOUT HOW MANY WRISTBANDS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE CONCERT. DESPITE THE FACT THAT THIS EVENT IS LISTED ON THEIR CALENDER OF EVENTS ON THEIR WEBSITE, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS EVENT. THEY KNOW NOTHING OF IT, AND SAID THAT IT WAS ALL BEING DONE BY HARDROCK. WHEN ASKED WHERE WE ARE TO PURCHASE THE CD AND TO OBTAIN THE WRISTBAND, I WAS TOLD THAT THE WRISTBANDS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH VIRGIN RECORDS........SO IF ANYONE CARES TO ENLIGHTEN ME, I WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATIVE!!!

omg it is so not fair i live 45 minutes away from the city but mi parents wont let me go because it is a school night i wish i was 3 years older so i could drive myself there i would be willing to camp out, whatever it would take to meet david i would do it. He may not be staying at the east coast much longer and i really really need to see him before he goes it is so not fair!

I am driving up Monday night/ Tuesday morning. I might not even be able to get a ticket, but I know I am lucky to be able to try. I am reading these posts and people be patient. David loves his fans and I am sure he will try to see as many as possible over the next 6 or 8 months. I am sure he knows how much everyone wants to see him perform and we know he will be touring sometime next year. I know I can't wait to get a copy of his album in my hands. ~franniew

Hey, What time are people planning to camp outside the store for this event? Just wondering.....and does anyone have any idea how many tickets they are going to give away?

Please post more details soon! I am trying to re-arrange some work deadlines to make it to NYC but need more info to make it happen. What time is the performance on the 18th and how many tix will be available? Thanks much!
