GET THE "LIGHT ON" LIGHTER APP FOR YOUR IPHONE OR IPOD TOUCH

You know there is a moment in every rock show where you become part of the spectacle. It starts with one, then the whole room is filled with glowing lighters shining back at the band. Now you can light up any venue with David Cook's "Light On" Lighter. Turn up the volume because when you spark up this lighter it plays David's single "Light On" in its entirety. Don't worry, if you're at a live show the song can be paused and the flame will burn as long as you have battery power.
In David's own words: "I am really stoked about this application. I think it gives a different dynamic to the single and it is much safer than practicing pyromania. Not to mention, you won’t burn your thumb!"

awwuhh!!! I wish I had an IPHONE.

I just bought the "Light On" lighter app not realizing that it wouldn't work on my Nano. So, do I run out and get an Ipod Touch just so I can use the lighter?

The description doesn't do it justice. To have the lighter light up, then light on start playing was amazing. It is now my favorite gadget.

Well, bought it. Can't use it. Apparently, my $300 iPod Touch with the software upgrade (that is barely 6 months old) is incompatible. So, as is the case with many of you....worthless.
Guess I could email iTunes for a refund, but I'll let Cook and friends keep the sale.
LIGHT ON ON FOREVER
Thanks guys, now the LIGHT IS ON FOREVER. Very clever, got the app last night I have the 3g iPhone and it works great. Shared with everyone at work and they are jealous!!! It's one of the coolest things they have seen! Thanks.

PR people - this should be free!
Not knocking the app - it's great. But if it only played a clip of the song rather than all of it, tons of people would download it - and then have the link inside for DCO and to buy the single on iTunes.
think of how many people would hear the single that way! and then go and buy it so they can hear the rest!
but if you're looking at it as just a cool way to distribute the song, then well done. graphics are great quality, flame is cool, and like David said, you don't burn your thumb =)

Goingfishing, how did you get it to work? I have a 1st gen ipod touch and when i tried to sync it this morning, i was told it could not proceed b/c my ipod was incompatible.

This is so fun. I admit it. If it wasn't David Cook I might not have purchased it, but it is fun and I am all about fun. I'm also all about supporting David in any way I possibly can. So my i touch is now ready for the concert tour and Light On is literally at my finger tips.

Way cool! I have a 1st Generation iPod Touch and it works for me. You just have to wear your headphones to listen to the song because the 1st Gen iPod Touch doesn't have a speaker. ;-( I did plug it into external speakers and it works too. I bet everyone at his concert will have this thing going. Light On...
