This is a message for fans who tried to create an account during the first few days but never got their password.
If you want to activate your account, please use this link to request a new password:

Hey,

They replied right away and helped me finally get in...

Persistant Password Problem
Shark421 ans Dusk 1223 have hijacked Caps826 username because we are AOL users with ut Passwords.Please Web Nerds! I know you have been busy with the release of David's new single on AOL. It is ironic that you are using AOL when no one with an Email account there can get a password! I have emaild you so much that you probably think my emails are spam by now. And we don't even get an autoresponse reply! Reply to Caps826 if you have to. Please we want to enjoy the site too! Look forward to hearing from you. Please do not make me post again.

Hey, David, I've been watching videos of your brother Andrew doing interviews for AI {with the new hopefuls} . He's Awesome!! { Great speaking voice, dynamic presence, engaging and fun... really seems to want to interact with his interviewees without seeming at all patronizing... just really entertaining!} If AI is looking to make some changes to keep the show "fresh"... Andrew's the man!! He could replace Ryan in a heartbeat, and renew my devotion to the show. I wish both of you all the best! I know I'll see{hear} more of you, and I hope to hear more of Andrew as well! Love ya!

Hey David-just a little praise for a great job! All throughout the competition I was so very impressed with your humanity and love for your fellow competitors. All throughout the Idol Tour, i was impressed by your energy and devotion to your fans--the time you spent with us--signing, pictures, hugs--all of it was time well spent. Even your "special dances" with MJ were wonderful gifts to your fans. Nobody will forget Mavid...and no one who experienced you on stage will forget you. (no slam to the others, but by the Gods you OWNED that stage!)
The new website is wonderful--I love that you are working so hard to keep all of us in the loop. It is very much appreciated. I cannot wait until Nov 18th--have had my copy pre-ordered for months! If Analog Heart becomes available for purchase again (other than e-bay), you should post it here so we will know--I for one would absolutely LOVE a copy. Even my husband (who likes the grittier stuff) likes what we have heard from that collection.

I don't want to complain but!!!
I never received the e-mail to my verizon.net account. I already started this new account and have posted and made friends. I am happy!! However, the one thing that is really bothering me is how the Flag as Offensive and Write to Author buttons keep shifting and block posters names and text. If a poster has a graphic siggy the preceding post begins directly next to the siggy. That is my biggest complaint but I am sure you talented webnerds are working on it. Ohh yes one more thing I changed my profile pic and the old one keeps appearing especially when I log in from a different computer. I know you have your hand s full.. Thank you!!!

Change user name, keep data?
Hi webnerds,
I've accessed my original screenname with my new password, thank you. But at this point like so many others on here, I've also got a week's worth of photos, blogs, posts and friends that I don't want to have to start over with on my original name, but I don't want to have to try to manage two account ids either. I've swapped the email addresses, which was really most important to me, so that's good.
Is it possible now that my original id is active, that I could
a) delete my original name, and
b) change the user name of my current active account (the one with all the activity) to be the same as the original name (the one that was password-disabled until now)?
And if I did this, would all of my friends and posts and stuff reflect the modified user id?

I tried to sign up with my AOL account, but was never given a password. I heard from other people that have AOL that we having the same problem, so I just signed up with my yahoo account and received a password almost immediately. I know that a lot of people with AOL were having the same problem and did the same thing. Thank you for looking into this problem.

we changed our names and made a new account when we didn't receive the password email. Is there anyway we could get the old name back?
how do i change password to something more user friendly?
password issued but its ugly, it never directed me to the "change password" part and I havent been able to find it. I don't want to have to go find it every time and cut/paste a password I have no chance of remembering. I'm sure there must be a place but can't find it. Thanks.

I would like to go back to my original name, but I've already done stuff on the new page. If we could change our new name to the original one we wanted, that would be great.
What if we abandoned the old name due to password probs?
What would you like us to do if we abandoned the old account and set up a new name when our password didn't come through? I've got my friends added to my new name now, so unless I can migrate/edit my page and change it over to my old name, I'll just be leaving a ghost account out there.
Any thoughts about how you would like to us handle that?

Editing problems
Hi Guys.
Something is up with your Webtrends loading a few seconds later than the rest of the page.
When starting to edit, you can start typing but then completely lose your cursor after they load....
Wait, did you guys just fix that in the last 10 minutes?? Oh, no, wait. it's back.
I am just going to assume you guys are working on that so I'll stop checking.
One more thing. WHY o WHY would I have to fill out a CAPTCHA to link to something at this very same site. Why? Why do we have to fill one in on edits. Fix a typo = extra minute with captcha? No. Not cool.
Also: How am I supposed to get to my messages? I have a ton I haven't read yet and there is no link anywhere in our profiles or elsewhere. I have to wait for an alert? I wanted to read those before I get new ones.
And I assume your bosses don't care about that people always read down the page? of everything?
Why is that? I know it would take 30 seconds to switch.
plus do I even have to mention that there is no news here?
Actually the problems with this site have really gotten to me today.

Thanks for the info. I had an issue with my password in the beginning but I fixed it by using my Yahoo email address instead of AOL. The issue I'm having is uploading photos. Takes forever and then never uploads. Tells me to check my SQL manual????

I tried the link you provided, but got a message, "Access denied ... you are not authorized ...", so I sent the email. Here's hoping this time works for my "first choice" name and email.
Thanks for trying. We know it takes time to work out the problems, and we really are trying to be patient, even if it doesn't sound like it sometimes. Btw, the site itself is beautiful, and navigation aids are improving all the time.

I didn't have any trouble getting my password when I first signed up. For the record I used a yahoo email account and got it instantaneously. Is it true that the date for you new ablum to be released is Nov 18th? I have tried to get the album that you made "Analog Heart" on ebay but the bid went all the way to $700. Will that ever come out? I just want you to know that I didn't watch AI in the beginning I would talk with my Mom everynight and she would always talk about you now mind you she's 80. It just that you moved her so much I just had to see it for myself. I have to tell you, my Mom got it right. Watching you it actually made my hair stand up. I knew at that point you were going to win. You have an amazing way about you on stage its like the viewer can actually feel the passion that you have for music. Good luck, in your future and remeber always stay humble.
