Earlier this month, David took time out after the Taco Bell MLB All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game to chat with Fuse about how music and sports have both influenced his life. Hear what he had to say!

I love seeing him so happy, his eyes shine every time he talks about sports/favorite teams.
Aw, what a great interview. I was so lucky to be in KC for the All-Star weekend event. I started my day that Sunday by being at the 5K race. Lucky me, Dave and I saw each other & said "Hey you, Hi there". We've met several times and always talk sports. I guess he remembers me (or the Celtics convos anyway)! lol Then I got to watch Dave play in the Legends vs Celebrities game. I know he is an athlete, but even I didn't expect Dave to play so well. I found myself feeling overwhelmed with happiness for him. Such a pinch-me moment, playing in his home town in front of his friends & family. Not to mention all the other baseball players & celebrities!
So needless to say I am not surprised to see him beaming from ear to ear through this whole interview. He just amazed an almost sold out crowd with this amazing baseball skills, not much different than his musical skills. He is awesome at everything he does! I am so happy to hear he'll be singing the NA at Watkins Glen race in August, another huge crowd to "Cookify"! And not so different from everyone else, I am thrilled to hear him say he's hoping to get another album out sooner rather than later! I say "take your time Dave, we're not going any where"! Totally loving his smile <3
So nice to see MORE David! I like that someone asked him WHO he's listening to/recommends! Always like to hear what David likes.
CANNOT WAIT FOR A NEW ALBUM. New music from David and the guys is what I live for!!! WOOT!

Great interview. It's wonderful seeing him so happy talking about two of his biggest passions. Really enjoyed watching him in the Celeb S/B game, loved the vids from the Hawaii and Asia shows, and so excited to hear he's working on putting out the new album sooner rather than later! Oh, and that smile at the end is just killer!!

Watkins Glen International @WGI is a stone's throw from my home. It will be nice to have Dave in the area. Hope he enjoys his visit.
Love Sporty Dave! How cute is he. So glad to see him having "pinch me" moments along the way. Watching him play in the Celebrity All Star Game (in his hometown, in the stadium where he worked) was such a treat. Two hits (single, double), scoring a run and numerous awesome fielding plays! Great job, Dave!

We all know how much Dave loves sports. Baseball, golf , tennis, football, basketball, soccer, and did I forget anything? LOL ! He was clearly having a blast at the All Star game. Glad to hear he will be singing the National Anthem at the Nationwide Race in August. Another great interview Dave!
