Its great to hear that another album is coming soon although I haven't totally worn out the first album yet. I'm just really excited and can't wait to see what David has in store for us. Please November hurry up!

Why is he so damn hot? I have NEVER had an artist make an impression on me as David Cook has...Lord knows if I ever actually met him I would either faint or throw up on his boots...he is like the guy next door, mixed with a charisma, charm and confidence I have never seen in a rock star...I would love to just hang out, have a drink and talk with him and then on the other hand I want to bear his children...he seems to be getting hotter...

Why can't this album be out like yesterday? Don't get me wrong, I know by these little snippets, it is going to be a great album, but waiting is pure torture....I feel like I have been waiting forever for an artist like this to come along...I just keep wanting more, more, more...I have even downloaded his commercials for ESPN and Disneyland...I am so pathetic...

Exactly one year ago, I saw David & the Anthemic at Madison theater in Covington KY. Got a memorable and sweaty hug from the man himself. Still haven't washed that vest I was wearing! ;-D

I want to give the Anthemic my applause. I ignored them in my last post without intention. Plus, I have to add that I am SO happy and relieved to see that David Cook is, this time around, going to have the backing of his own band. I have heard other musicians say that their labels wouldn't allow them this luxury, so I was afraid that David was in this same situation. The idea of David not having full control of his creative artistry struck me as sad. I hate to see this great man limited in any way, but I figured I would just have to resolve myself to compromising on the use of generic studio musicians backing him for the record, but reserving the joy of the Anthemic for live stage shows. Since the words "the Anthemic" were rarely uttered after first being introduced, and considering that the guys had to continue with their side projects, such as MWK (a fine band in its own right), it appeared this might be the indefinite situation of things, like it or not.

But all of us hard-core David Cook fans now embrace Neal Tiemann, Andy Skib, Monty Anderson, and Kyle Peek as friends. Actually more so, for they are a part of our "Cook Family." So of course we would feel more than a bit put-off by this whole exclusionary, "studio musician" prospect. Sure, David Cook would be a talented superstar regardless of who was backing him, but would he be able to make his ideas culminate into complete and honest fruition without these guys, who know him so well, and can intuitively understand what he's striving for? We've heard them play together on stage, and we KNOW how great they are together.

"Too many cooks spoil the broth," but in this case, "Guys who understand Cook can only BETTER the broth." Luckily for us, David now holds the complete recipe for success, and we are salivating with delight at what David Cook and the Anthemic are about to dish out to us. Bring it on, guys!

Sorry my last comment went cookoo and entered itself premeturely...My question was this: Where did you get the idea to give your fans the little clips of you and the guys, behind the scenes, in the studio? Was it just the general crowd of fans drooling (or breathing) down your neck for information about how you are putting your album together? Or was it your idea, or some other person's idea?
Just wanted to say a big THANKS! I am loving seeing you guys at work, or um....maybe it's more like play with all those quarters and scissors being used to strum guitars! It seems that Neal and Andy didn't know you were shooting video of them being ahem..creative. I can't wait to see what you guys use next to strum guitars. Is there any other metal objects just laying around that need to be put to use? About now, I am wishing I could shrink and disguise myself as a washer ( the kind you use with a bolt) so that one of the guitarists would pick me up and strum a guitar with me. At least I would be in room, seeing all the goings on. Especially to watch Andy grow his beard, which he says will be there till you are finished.
I Likey Beard Andy! Looks good on you! Oh...Andy...you like scissors or something? When my husband was a kid, he punchered his parents waterbed with a pair of pinking sheers ( a type of scissors). Bad boy.
Also, thuroughly enjoyed seeing David singing in the studio again, because we all know what that means! New songs sung by our favorite gravely voice! Yay!
