OK...SO YOU ARE DOING THE COLLEGE SCENE AND WE ALL UNDERSTAND...BUT HOW CAN YOU NOT COME TO CALIFORNIA? THE BIGGEST STATE WITH THE MOST FANS! I KNOW SOMEHOW YOUR MANAGEMENT TEAM WILL BRING YOU THIS WAY! I MEAN YOU CAME TO SAC TOWN AND ARCO WAS SOLD OUT WHEN WE HAD FIRES AND 100 DEGREE TEMPS FOR WEEKS. I SAW DAUGHTRY IN A DIRTY, SMALL BAR ...BUT IT WAS AMAZING. HE WAS 6 FT AWAY FROM ME! NOW THAT IS INTIMATE! WE HOPE YOU COME THIS WAY AND REALLY SOON!

David dear, please consider playing larger venues the next time after this round with the college/university tour. Those of us who are no longer students cannot get tickets at these venues as the majority of tickets are reserved for students or the university community. For example, I live in Miami, Florida, and I was willing to fly to FSU in Tallahassee to see you, but tickets were released to students first and snatched up by them before we even had a chance. Then I was thinking I'd fly to Baltimore to see you at Towson U, since it appeared that the "public" had a chance to get tickets for this venue (it was on Ticketmaster with More Info...for the longest time). But to my great disappointment, all the tickets were pre-sold out to students (at $5!) and the public was left out in the cold again.

Then recently, another ray of hope when you added University of South Carolina, my alma mater. I was wiling to fly to Columbia, SC from Miami, FL, just to see you. I searched for 3 hours all over the internet and on USC's site to find where you were playing (maybe a large venue?), and finally found to my greatest disappointment that the Russell House Ballroom concert was ONLY for students. Really? At least with the other two venues I mentioned above, the public had a slim chance of scoring a ticket, but at USC, NO CHANCE at all. Student only event. Man, that's brutal.

The fans who cheered you on and voted for you week after week is a much broader audience than just college students, I hope. Just go on david-cook.org, and you'll see the diversity in the demographics of your fans. I'm 49 and voted for you 950 times just in the final 3 weeks alone. I talked my 70 year old mother-in-law into voting for you the entire 4 hours on Finals night. I saw you in Sunrise, FL, and even had the most blessed opportunity to meet you at the after-show. But I wanted to hear and see more of you. (All your die-hard word nerds cannot get enough of you!) So, waited for your album to come out. I downloaded the album on iTunes, and bought 10 copies of the CD. One for the car, one for the house, others for friends....I couldn't bear to just burn the CDs off iTunes, because that would deprive you of sales, and I wanted to do my part in helping you go platinum. Next step, waited for you to go on tour...and then to all your non-student fans' disappointment, you play at small venues that only accommodate several hundred, with the focus of catering to students.

I understand you want to build and expand your fan base. You are already solid with the older gals, and now you're going for the crowd that will still be around when we're decrepit and coming to see you with our walking canes and wheelchairs. But don't forget the older generation is also a rock and roll generation, we grew up with many rock greats, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Who, Van Morrison, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, etc., and that's why we immediately took to you and loved you when we heard and saw you. So please, please, include us in your plans the next time you go on tour.

I know this college tour is a strategic move, but don't forget the rest of your fans. Thank you if you read this entire long-winded message. I'm just so sad, that's all.

David, i love all of your music and would love to be able to see you in concert. It would be soooo cooool if you would at least come to the Taft Thearter in Cincinnati, OH, I will do just about anything i could do to get tickets front row. Your music is really awesome and you have so many fans that want to see you so if you would try to make it to Cincinnati, OH, I'm not the only one who would love to see you.
please think about all of your fans and not just colleges.

I agree- get your ass back to AR. UCA??? Too tiny- freshman girls bought up the tickets in ten minutes. Which is GREAT for you- but sucks for the rest of us. Next year- Alltell Arena baby.

so, today i went on to purchace tickets for the one in ohio. i called atleast two minutes before they actually went on sale.
i finially got through, and the tickets were all sold out due to tickets being on sale earlier for the college students.
i find this very unfair and disappointing for us outside fans.
i dont get to go to the ohio one because of the sold out show.
and im not flying to another state, i think that david should just come to bigger cities and venues that we know.
like the idol tour. i cried in my class today because i couldnt get tickets, and im about to cry again.
i was planning on attending the niggara falls one but due to my david bestfriends mom having surgery im not attending.
im very upset, and i think that when the tickets go onsale to the general public, the students that attend the college should have to wait also.

I have got tickets to the show for April 2nd in Wilmington, NC. I am so happy!!! I was in line at the ticket office right after they announced it!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

I understand the disappointment of those who can't go to the spring tour, as I most likely will be unable to pull it off myself. I have to put in a good word for David and his management, however, on the subject of him hitting obscure towns and campuses rather than the big ones. I think this is so admirable. He went to a small school in the middle of nowhere and feels acutely how they tend to be ignored for concerts by big stars. What a terrific thing for these musically underserved schools! They must be so stoked. There will be plenty of time for him to hit the big cities and schools, especially when he sells these concerts out and proves he is a good financial risk. These are hard economic times, and he needed to prove to his management and to prospective venues that he can sell to large crowds on his own. Keep in mind, too, that the AI tour was all in large cities. Now it's our turn to travel, and I am okay with that.

Also, I know he wanted some bigger schools, as he asked specifically for fans to lobby UCLA for him. I am not sure why that did not materialize; perhaps it will happen for fall, with a western tour. Or their venues may have all been too large for the size he was going for. Patience, everyone. David loves us and this will all work out. We still have 7 months unspoken for, and probably more dates to fill in through May.

I tried to get tickets for Fri and Sat, but was only able to get them for Sat.
Unfortunately scalpers will NEVER change. They see an opportunity to make a fortune and go for it.

The casino venues ALWAYS hold back the best seats for high rollers. Sad thing is, they usually go to someone who is just bored and can get the tix for free.

The Borgata obviously held back tickets...probably for their own gamblers. Gee, just what a musician wants...people in the front rows who are not even real fans. Seems like all tickets sold were in the back rows....where are the rest of the tickets Borgata??? Really not fair to the real fans. And how about the scalpers charging hundreds of dollars already? Great for David bc he's so popular but stinks for the real fans.

Unbelievable...I signed up Friday evening to be prepared for when tix went on sale this morning (Saturday) and was at the site 30 minutes early waiting for the buy tickets button to go live at 10 am, then at 10 am was put into and query to wait and when I finally get on (after 15 minutes) and type in my get tickets it shows that both shows are sold out! Ugg, so depressed now

Tix go on sale Jan 31st according to the Bogota website. Not sure if that means right after midnight or 9 or 10 am, however-guess it is a wait and see when the "buy Tickets" link appears . I'm hoping to snag a couple of tickets and go there with my sister to see Cookie! I was upset about CW Post being students only, although I still have my id from attending a few years ago, I'm not sure if I would be able to get tickets.

I was so excited to hear he was going to be touring in spring and then I look at where he was going and now I'm so SAD, He wont be coming to Washington or Oregon :/ Im so bummed!!

Anybody know where to buy tickets for the Portsmouth, Ohio concert??
If so, please let me know.
