VIDEO: New Song - "Make Believe" in St. Louis

In St. Louis the other night, David busted out a new song he’s been working on. This was the absolute FIRST time he had ever played it live. He’s been writing new songs, and if “Make Believe” is any indication of what’s to come, then you all have a lot to be excited for. Check out a fan video of the song below!

New Song again and.....
Just wanted to also add that I am cruising through this DC site and celebrating my birthday which is today and have no better way to spend it but by reading about and listening to my fav singer/songwriter, David Cook, thanks for the music DC, keep it coming, this Colorado fan loves it!!!!!!!!

This song seems to be another great one, I however found that the music drowned out the vocals so I can't honestly comment about the meaning of the song. Hard to understand or maybe just a bad catch of the song. Music sounds great!!!!

Oh I can "Make Believe" watching that video of David Cook! Woo hoo! He just seems like a terrific down-to-earth guy; yet he is sooooooooooo talented!!!
Still think that 'Light On' was the best!
Love all of David's music but there is just something about 'Light On' and the video that just pushes his talents,emotions and vocal attitude....When I feel like hearing and viewing 'talent' I pull up the Light On video.
Really looking forward to songs that make you challenge you vocal range and make you display some attitude within the vocals.
Keep up the good work...Your definetly a favorite!

The New Song
I am a huge David Cook fan. I love the cd, have seen the band in concert 3 times, so please don't kill me if I say I don't love the new song Make Believe. It's okay, but I don't hear a hit song or really anything different than what's already on the first album. This song would actually fit as filler on DCTR. I listened to the song several times trying to hear what made so many of you post that you love it and it would be a sure hit. I just don't hear a hit song in there. Maybe I need to listen to it a few more times. Maybe then it will grow on me or something.

I'm sure when I get the chance to hear his new song that it will be as good, or even better than, all of his others. His voice is amazing and it can make anything sound awesome! I'm pretty sure that he will blow me out of the water with every song/new song that he writes!

Don't Have To "Make Believe" That This WILL Be A Hit!
Thank you David for NOT waiting until later in the tour to share this new song with us! From the first time that I heard "Make Believe" the day after it's premier performance in St. Louis, I just can't get the melody out of my head! The same thing happened after I heard "Anodyne" and "Til I'm Blue." And I can only imagine how (down the road, of course) you will turn this into an awesome acoustic version.

concert ear
I have noticed, David, that you always take your left earpiece out when you really want to hear at concerts. For some reason, when I was watching this clip again, I kept thinking "Put it back in! Put it back in!" I went to two of your concerts and noticed my ears ringing more, so with all those concerts you perform, I can't imagine how your left ear is. In a few years, when someone is whispering in your left ear, you won't be able to hear them and you'll say, "Oh. Talk in my right ear. That's my whispering ear. My left ear is my concert ear!". Anyways...I thought I was being funny, but now I think I sound like a mom. Not a couger, here though. Not old enough to be. At first I liked seeing you put your concert ear at risk for damage to hear your adoring fans, but now I guess I worry. It's your ear I guess! mr concert ear....

Thank you for throwing us a bone!!! This little doggie digs the tune. I wish I could've heard the lyrics better though! I would Love to hear this song agian in some other way, like a studio or a capella, so I can hear the words. From what I could hear, it's about wanting to go back to certain place in time when you first met and things seemed better. I am so excited I keep having to erase my typos. Yay!!! Can't wait for the next album.
