Wow, I remember planning to go to one the first post American Idol thing (NYC Today Show) appearance thinking I'll do it once. And who would have thought one year later, we are still galvanting around the country having the time of our lives. What a great group we have become. From the Charity functions, to the waiting in lines, for the strategizing about tickets, and then just the most basic things of sharing our lives together. We got the added benefit of David Cook, but what a terrific group we have become. There hasn't been a time that I haven't reached out to one of you, that you haven't come through. Whether it was looking for a photo, or contributing to a photo album, or needing an extra ticket for a new found David Cook fan, you guys have always come through.
And David, we aren't Newbies anymore either. I remember when a bunch of us met up at the Conway Ar show. We met Kris Allen's brother and friend who were heading up the voter outreach for Kris Allen. And we helped them with everything that we knew from going through Idol; and now we are telling them our highs and lows of the Tour, the Album kick off, the Declaration tour to help them navigate so that they don't have to go through the Newbie bumps like we did. We love them just like we love you. We just welcomed them to the family, like we know that you have welcomed Kris.
But seriously I think it is because David Cook has been such a good example. Even with his increasingly busy schedule you can always see that he comes through for his friends and family and he has been a great example for us all.
I look forward to another fabulous year or better yet, dozens of years of us coming in and out of each other's lives for this guy. Thanks so much David. You have given us a terrific 12 months!!
