David, first, I want to say how very sorry I am to hear about the loss of your brother. I believe that all of us here at DCO were hoping he would be one of those who beat this horrible disease. My deepest condolences to you and your family. I have lost several family members to cancer but have had others that are survivors. Needless to say, I continue to donate to all cancer causes.
Secondly, thank you for being so brave to perform this version of Permanent on the Idol Finale. It must have been so hard to do so close to your brother's death. Your feelings come through so strongly on this song. I downloaded this version and have it on my ipod and play it all the time. It is so beautiful.
