So Entertaining!

I am such a fan of your posts, Gueseppe, and this one is no exception! I'm just sad that I didn't get a chance to meet you at the Spreckles (yeah it does sound like colored sugar crystals, huh?).

I'd like to comment on this, from your recap:

Even better, who woulda thunk that the under-rated, overlooked simple, little tune would earn its place as an epically spectacular final encore? It’s crazy what’s happened to that song. From a lonely place in a forgotten tier to a show stopping, concert ending blowout.

Long ago (when DCTR was first released) I posted somewhere on DCO what I felt about IDIFY. That, in itself, was significant for me because I very rarely posted -- only if I felt so strongly about a topic that it just had to come out LOL. What I said, basically, was that the song left me unfulfilled. It didn't soar like I thought it should. It was like getting Baba O'd by shutting down meekly rather than taking off at the end. I remember thinking, "This song reminds me of a movie that could have, should have been great, but wasn't because something was missing."

Well, I'm now here to tell you all, whatever I thought was missing in IDIFY has been found. It's now there in David's soaring vocals and the Anthemic's crashing, anthemic prolonged instrumentation. No more handling this little ditty with kid gloves. I wish I had the "technical" musical vocabulary to articulate exactly what I mean, but lacking that, I just want to say I freakin' love this song now -- just as I so wanted to from the beginning.
