This is the sort of review I expect from people who claim to be music journalists. It's thoughtful, objective, and doesn't do the 'my idol is better than your idol' sort of thing that tires and turns off a lot of potential fans. I hope we'll see some actual articles like this in publications instead of OTT fannishness, but I'm an optimistic sort.
I am not a fan of Lambert. He seems like a nice guy but I don't care for his voice or his persona(e)--not my kind of thing. But mostly I was soured on him by the OTT hyping of him as the second coming of Elvis, the Beatles, MJ and Bowie with a side of Freddie Mercury. That said, however, I wish him the best, as I do Kris Allen. It's a tough world to be in as a breaking-out musician, and no matter what any of them do, including our guy, it'll never be enough for some.
Thought provoking and logical

Thanks for this, KDC. It is much appreciated.
