Finally a place to have a discussion without the "my idol is better than your idol" fanwars going on. So thank you for your thoughtful blog.
I did tune in this morning to hear FYE out of curiosity. When the song started, my first thought was OK, just as expected, an electro dance pop tune. But then I kept waiting for the song to take off and go somewhere. It seemed to have just stalled in place. After I read your blog I had to go back and re-listen to it as I had completely forgotten what it sounded like.
His label is aiming for a big Top 40 hit. Will it be the next hit tune at dance clubs and weddings? IMO it does NOT have that same get out of your chair vibe like "I've Got a Feeling", but there is a lot of buzz out there right now and who knows. I think I am going to re-listen and may be back with more thoughts.
