Permanent will always hold a special place in my heart. When I first got the new CD, Life On the Moon was my favorite. But everytime I listen to Avalanche it makes me want to cry because it is such an intimate song. Gosh! I love it! Breathe Tonight is great, too!

--Biggest Support for DC. Seriously, I mean it.

i love everything in your album. It is the BEST!

Life on the Moon is also a fantastic song...
along wtih the other songs on the album. ok ok..so I can't pick just one. SO, I will pick them all.
That is my pick..."all of them".

Geez
I love them all. Everyone of them hits close to my heart. I would have to say the one that stands out the most probably would be "Come Back To Me" & "I Did It For You"
But, honestly every one of them are my favorite to tell you the truth.
If that helps.

Marian

My favorite song is Permanent... but it's really hard to choose just one... DAVID COOK IS FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful singer, composer.... I really love him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heroes is a GREATsong and would win more fans if realeased as a single. David plays it every single show. I think the only other song played every night is Declaration. (also a great song)

I like all the songs.

There is the need to release commercially the songs like Kiss On the Neck, Straight Ahead and The Truth.

I have played DC's self-titled album 100 times already (since it was released on my birthday) and will continue listening to all his songs until my last breath.

I really love David Cook's songs. Actually, I still have a hang over with David Cook's concert together with David Archuleta here in the PHILIPPINES untill now. haha

I cant forget the song entitled A Daily Anthem, which is the last song he performed on the stage.

Hope you come back here DAVID COOK! Smiling

HOW CAN YOU PICK A FAVORITE WHEN ALL OF THEM ARE THAT GOOD???

WAY too hard to pick. I LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH! Though I am surprised that Mr. Sensitive only has 1%, that song is genius! I guess it sorta makes more sense for the bonus tracks as less people have heard them, but gahhh they're all just amazing.

``permanent
``come back to me
``heroes
``lie
``mr.sensitive
``barbasol
``declaration
``a daily anthem
``light on
``my last request
``avalanche
but i really like david!ahahaha:))

I like Permanent and Kiss on the Neck

It's not fair to ask us to vote for one - so many of them are my "#1 favorite"! And just this week I discovered My Last Request and Breathe Tonight, and those are two of the best songs yet! It's just a shame they were limited releases.

Is anyone else as frustrated as I am in the way they are releasing his singles (other than the Permanent charity performance)? I've heard theories that they are "saving the best for last" or something to that effect. If I were them, I would think they would come out with the really strong ones to get people's attention right out the gate, and say, "See, I'm way beyond being a mere AI winner." This would get him established with the greater fan base he needs and deserves. If the first ones fizzle, then I think it will be harder to get credibility the next time...

An example - my 17-year-old, David-Cook-ambivalent, rock-fan son - he first heard Breathe Tonight this week, and he thinks it's the best song on the album. It's the only DC song he is putting on his ipod. And there's Bar-ba-sol out there floundering, which I kind of always thought it might in a general audience.

I think maybe people thought they had to release all the songs written by established artists first to be safe. But then they have completely missed the point of DC being DC. To the "powers-that-be" - PLEASE put the winners out there that really show who David is, and grab the spotlight before people start discounting what he can really do! I vote -

Breathe Tonight
Avalanche
My Last Request
Heroes

And after that, then tack on all the other admirable efforts, which is probably all or almost all the rest of them - I love them all!

Thanks for letting me sound off - I'm mad every day about how it seems they are mismanaging his career, and I needed to get that off my chest...

David just announced a concert date in Denver. I have been begging him to come to Colorado and haven't seen him live since the Idols tour last summer (Vegas!).

Is there a presale code available to buy tickets for this show in Denver? Tickets go on sale tomorrow and it's a small venue, which will sell out immediately. I will be SO bummed if I don't get tix. Help!

That song is awesome!

Super love the song and the fact that how lucky the girl in the video as david kissed her...
Love the song permanent also. you can fill the emotions as idol david cook performed
in american idol.

I love both songs, cos they give out so much meaning, and they always make me cry. :-j Lol. Sorry if I'm kinda sentimental whenever I hear those two songs. They're just really beautiful! I mean, don't get me wrong. I love EVERY SINGLE song of DC, it;'s just that Permanent & Come Back To Me are my favorites. :-j

i chose this song because of the lyrics and actually the music video , before the music video ends david cook just kissed a girl , yea i thought that the girl was very very lucky hahah!! , when did david cook ever kissed kimberly caldwell this much??ahahah just joking!! , no offense?!we love you david!!!Godbless.

..

i really like the s0ng always be my baby=)..
and n0w c0mebackt0 me.. hehehe

I had no idea that there was a hidden track! I knew that it was weird that the song was 15 minutes long, but I thought it was some weird error. Haha.

I'm just listening to it now!

And of course, it's amazing, just like the rest of them =]

Such a sad, soulful song that never should have been a limited release. Sigh. If you haven't heard it, find it and give it a listen. It's DC in his most touching form, similar to Permenant. Probably would have fit the Come Back to Me video better too.

Of all his songs in the CD, these two really warms my heart... I'm no mushy person and never been in love but the words in Come Back to Me is just something, aside from the fact that it was the guy who is singing it can really melt the heart even the ones made of stone. Smiling Of course Permanent is a different one, maybe because I understand how it feels to see the people you care so much grasping and holding on for their lives, and how you wish you can take it from there...

By the way David's concert in Manila ROCK!!!! I was there and saw the mutitutdes of people from all walks of life watching and trying to see him, and as a Filipino it warms our heart to hear from David (actually both Davids) that they really have a great tme here... The typhoons and weather disturbances in our country seems to go out somewhere during the time that they were here because the sky is all sunny and bright all of a sudden! Congratulations to both of them because the people who were in the concert (including myself) had a great time!!! He's so playful and charming and really interacts alot with his audience... Wow! I'm amazed...

of all the songs in the cd, this one is my number 1. But, I listen to all the songs in the album though. And I have to say, I enjoyed it alot... Finally, I have seen you perform here in manila!!! Loved the show...

...because I was not able to watch your concert!!!!

just the piano intro made me love it.
then the lyrics, the message, arrangement and all?!
whoah. THE BEST!

im so happy that david cook made it in the philippines. i know that he's gonna be brilliant there as expected.. wish he'll have a tour and concert here in australia... maybe smeday soon?? hopefully.. and also im so happy that evethough my family wont be able to see you live in concert due to some reasons, i know that they're happy that you're there in the philippines. we love you david cook and we'll continue to support you all the way... Godbless. and goodluck on your concert with archie.. (as if you need it hey?)..

MABUHAY DAVID COOK!!!!!

Permanent has to be my favorite song of yours of all time . Years ago before i was born my father lost his mother, my grandmother, to cancer as well . He was in tenth grade, and he had to repeat that grade because instead of going to school, he stayed home at my grandmothers bedside for months . I could never really connect with him on that, because i never met my grandmother, and i have never lost someone so close to me . That is, untill i heard Permanent . Im not a very emotional person , but to my suprise, i cried the first time i heard it . And by pure accident, my dad and i were driving to the store, i had my ipod plugged in and we were listening to some music, mostly your music, when Permanent came on . My dad never heard it before, so he wanted to listen , and i was slightly nervous for him to hear it . By the near end of the song i look over at my dad and i see a tear rolling down his face . This was immensely suprising to me, seeing as though i have never seen him cry in my life . After almost 30 years, your words were able to dig and find something in my dad, that brought such a strong emotion to the surface .

The words you wrote are truely heartfelt and passionate and i find it really refreshing to hear .

And if by some miracle you actually read this, Im so very sorry for your loss, but remember: Adam will no longer suffer while in the arms of God, for that embrace is everlasting, permanent, as is yours on his soul .

My deepest sympathies, Gabi .

This song has meant so much to me because I lost my brother, very suddenly, more than two years ago and I just heard the terrible news that David's brother Adam has, sadly, also died. I know a little about what he is going through ...

I don't think there are any words to express how much it hurts. I just hope he knows how many prayers are being said for him and his family tonight.

Please everyone say a prayer for each of them! Then go call, hug and hold each of the people in your lives that you love.

HEY DAVID , THE ONE SONG I LOVE THE MOST RIGHT NOW IS { LIGHT ON } I WATCH THE VIDEO OVER & OVER . BUT I THINK ALL OF YOUR SONGS & VIDEO ARE AWESOME ,YOU ARE ONE GOOD LOOKING GUY DAVID COOK { CUTE , CUTE , CUTE , CUTE ,} I WISH ONE DAY I CAN GET THE CHANCE TO MEET YOU....LOL....LOL

I have to keep changing my vote because my favorite song keeps changing. I just LOVE the WHOLE THING.

Hey D. Out of every song, Permanent is your best. I know how much it means to you, and how much it means to so many people out here in the world. Every time I get in my car, your music is on. And even if its only a five minute car ride I make sure I listen to that song. Not many artists can make people cry, and you do David, you really do. Every song on your album reflects who you are as a person, as an artist, and as a person in this world. Nothing is more beautiful than your heart. You were breathtakingly amazing in Kansas City this past week, and I was extremely bummed you didn't sing Permanent. I'm sure a lot of other people were, as well. Even though its tied at 13% on the poll with other songs, it still has the most overall votes. That says something about it. But David, please, for the next concert you play at....play that song. You don't know how much it would mean, even if its only to one person. Stay true, David. And never stop sharing your voice with the world.

I don't know why they just made it a bonus track. it could be hotter than Mr. Sensitive. it's a song which is easy to relate to.

my top song is life on the moon..followed by permanent then lie and a daily anthem
