Where do I even begin?! I’ll start by saying that David pours out his heart and soul into every song he sings. Along with his incredible voice he possesses passion, kindness, humility, and a down-to-earth nature. When I first saw his audition, I knew right away that he would sail through and become a huge star. Each week I was totally blown away by the unique song arrangements, and his performances always added a special spark to the show. When David won the competition, I was completely ecstatic that my Idol was chosen; spending countless hours voting really paid off!

David definitely has that sexy rocker style, but what I find even MORE attractive is the fact that he is never reluctant to express emotion. When he sang his beautiful rendition of The World I Know, and when he won the title of AI, I cried right along with him. It’s been 4 months since those two heartfelt moments occurred, yet I can still feel the intense emotion whenever I watch the clips. His sincerity and gratitude demonstrate that through this journey, he will always stay true to himself because David Cook IS the real deal!

So even if David never reads this, I still have to say thank you. Thank you for making this an exciting and memorable year for me and so many others. You have impacted me on a personal level in more ways than you can ever imagine, and because of that, you will forever be my guitar hero.
