This is the sort of review I expect from people who claim to be music journalists. It's thoughtful, objective, and doesn't do the 'my idol is better than your idol' sort of thing that tires and turns off a lot of potential fans. I hope we'll see some actual articles like this in publications instead of OTT fannishness, but I'm an optimistic sort.

Your excitement is palpable, reading this. I have this ginormous grin on my face from sharing the experience vicariously with you. Great photos, and even greater memories. Well done!

I just gotta get thru the next couple of days, workwise, then I can finish up. Brain is tired from lots of assignments.

So glad you told us this tale! The waiter was a bit of a goofball, but I laughed anyway. And the concert was obviously epic.

Mr. Sensitive: David’s Firebird is hanging off his shoulders and the opening notes bring me back to reality after Heros. We get good guitar sex early on in Mr. Sensitive. Wow. Love the way he caresses that guitar’s neck, reminiscent of similar encounters with mike stands and the guitar in the past. Half a heart hand too, which just added to the fun, and then more heart thumps near the end of the song. I love the quietness of the verses and then the absolute power of the chorus and bridge. I manage to look over at the guitar god stage left/our right.

...Because I'm sitting here sniffling over your story. It's awesome. I've laughed out loud at some parts and wept happy tears at other parts. So happy for you; that's an experience to cherish forever. I'm sorry about the MS, but also know from friends that it's much more manageable than it was even a decade or two ago.
I also echo Scott. Please post more often, especially on on DWoP. You write well and from the heart, and convey emotion wonderfully.
