but, David, I don't get the storyline either (I agree with several other fans). The lyrics are so deep, and the storyline is so superficial. Not sure how much control you had on this, but there is so much more that could have been done given the complexity and length of the song. I had imagined the video would have a more mature theme---either US soldier going to war, or a husband/wife leaving the other behind, or impending death of a loved one....or a combination of many stories illustrating the imagery of a light left on as a "placeholder" until they return. . .

David--Incredible incredible song---so powerful. The only feedback I have (and most people will probably not agree with me)....is that the thrashing heads of your drummer and guitarist are distracting to the song and to you. It's almost like you are focused, making eye contact with your audience, and then in the background, there's wild movements from your band. I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, but I wanted to give you my candid feedback. Maybe they could tone it down just a bit.
