So, my trip to see David in Memphis started late, thanks to a perpetually late sister who was trying to get her jeans dry and put Frontline on three big dogs and two cats. I had wanted to leave at 2:00 (hell, I’d wanted to leave at 8 am, but I compromised). After 45 minutes of pacing and huffing and fuming, sister finally showed up and we were off to Memphis, only an hour and a half or so from Oxford (I know, WHY wasn’t I at the Oxford show then?

If someone doesn't ask him before my Memphis concert date, can someone ask him about the 4:20 on the clock in the CBTM video? And I really hope it's for DC=42 and NOT the other 420, huh huh, huh huh (not that I would judge him for partaking or otherwise experimenting in his college days...didn't we all? No? Um...never mind).

I got two tickets to the Memphis show on April 11. Now, for those who ain't from around here, when I was a teenager growing up in Oxford, Mississippi, Memphis was the big city to go to. We'd hear bands at the Beale Street Music Festival, see concerts and musicals at the Orpheum Theater, shop at the Mall of Memphis (which had an indoor ice skating rink!), hit Mud Island, all of that.

Funny...
Just for the record, crazy-girl-on-shoulders would laugh her ass off to hear that guy referred to as her boyfriend! Just friends, she swears...and she's sorry if she caused any trouble, she tried to get down as fast and safe as she could.
