  • imogen. I also realized one thing. Since David said that his album will be autobiographical, the song could also be interpreted as him addressing his loved ones (family, friends) and/or a significant other (ehem, ehem. hehe) to always believe in him. No matter what the media said about him (particularly TMZ), it's like he's asking them not to believe in them, but to believe and have faith in him. If TOML talks about his rise to fame, Light On could talk about the crazy world of fame that he is now in and the possible consequences it entails.

  • Yep, the violin is harder to master than, say, the guitar. Even after nine years of playing, I still consider myself as a rather mediocre player, hehe. I think it's because you need to have excellent memory skills, good practice habits and a fast nervous system to play it well. You have to have good spatial and muscle memory. Since the violin doesn't have frets, we have to memorize where every single note is located on the fingerboard and how far they are from each other. Then, with constant practice, your fingers will know where to land on the fingerboard almost automatically.

  • I feel like I'm writing a term paper for one of my college classes, which I'm rather weak at. I'll do my best though. Laughing out loud

Well, on first reading the lyrics, especially the chorus parts, I felt a pang of sadness and melancholy, but in a bittersweet kind of way. It gives off a poignantly optimistic feel to it, especially with these two lines:

"And when it’s late at night you can look inside
    You won’t feel so alone"

  • I'm a classically-trained violinist and I'm not into rock very much as well. I had a rather elitist view on music, but I think it's because of DC that my opinion of rock music is changing for the better. I was never a viewer of AI until I saw and heard DC in it!! There's really something special in his music. Like what imogen said, "I don't know much about the current music scene, nor do I know that many current artists, but I know what I like when I hear it." Smiling

  • a very introspective reflection on the lyrics, imogen. It does speak something about death - in a poignant, melancholic and nostalgic kind of way. Smiling

*rant* hassle naman, kailangan pa maglagay ng title at captcha per comment!! *end rant* sorry about that. Sticking out tongue
