  • This is beautifully written. It is all about the voice. That it belongs to a charming, intelligent and divine looking man is just a bonus - the voice is what compelled this perfectly sane, middle-aged woman fly across the world, twice, to see a young singer in concert. I have never done anything like this before. I listened to him singing Light On in Phoenix (from row 5) and it was a profoundly emotional experience. Thank you for writing this.

  • Karen, I've read through this twice and ended in tears both times. I loved it, and when I got to the part about you stepping forward to shake his hand these words came to mind:

    it only takes
one second to change your life
    everything can turn
when you believe you lie and take turns tonight
one second to change your mind
finally breathe the air you've held inside
one second to change your life

  • This is a superb documentation of the journey of David Cook. You have chosen excellent pictures to illustrate it, and your text explains exactly why he is, and will continue to be a legend.
    Very good job!
