"Hello" started me off with the rocker on AI who switched on the light of music in my heart! He caught my attention at that time and I became interested and absorbed in his performances ever since!
My epiphany came when I started listening to TOML. I have arthritis in different areas of my body and was in a lot of pain at that time, sometimes using a cane. I started thinking I wouldn't be able to pick up my g-child or go on long walking trips of Europe and it was getting me down. One day I decided I should start walking around the block for exercise even though it might be painful and possibly a very short walk. I took David and his song along on my walk. I really started to listen to the lyrics and realized that I had 15 good years left(I'm 60!) and NOW really could be the time of my life if I let it be!
I walked every day with David and TOML giving me inspiration!! I started swimming which I found was better for my bad knee-lost 15 lbs over the summer and feel great with a lot less pain now.
David has unleashed my inner 25 year old!! and I'm so much happier of a person-the old/young Rhoda is back!!
I also realized that my closeness to David also has to do with the fact that I have a 28 year old son who is a professional drummer with 2 bands and has a job. He started in my basement with a garageband when he was in high school and I also have helped him with carfare to gigs! My son is very similar in personality to David; funny, self-effacing, wordy, giving, caring of others and family is everything!
David I will be your fan til my forever!!!
