  • Good job, web nerds! Laughing out loud

I'm ALIVE! ...and I don't care much for words of doom.

  • I was just looking at the order of the tracks and thinking about why they were placed in that order. Here are my thoughts...this is a whole lot of speculation, so take anything I say with a grain of salt. Heh.

    1. Declaration - As he explained, declares overall intentions for the album.

    2. Heroes - Ode to his supportive, inspirational family.

    3. Light On - About leaving the ones you love...which is what he did as he embarked on his music career, even before AI. His mother talks about his leaving to go find himself and give music a try.

Voter registration deadlines are upon us. Don't forget to register!

  • DECLARATION >>> light on (no offense to Chris Cornell)

Your performance of "Light On" was good tonight (your voice sounded beautiful), but "Declaration"? Now, THAT sounded like a David Cook original. And you KILLED it. DEAD. Plus...the "heart on my sleeve" line put a huge, stupid grin on my face as memories of Analog Heart echoed in my eardrums.

I can has record today plz? Kthx.

  • Re: #2 -- Ah, that may be it (or at least part of it)!

  • Please don't worry about me ever being sensitive about what I post; that has nothing to do with you! I'm sensitive regardless because the last thing I want to do is offend anyone. I try to consider how others will receive what I say before I say it, but we can't always forsee how others will perceive things. Anything that causes me to take a second look at what I'm saying and how it can be interpreted is helpful for the future. Dissecting that comment on expectations even gave me a better understanding of what I meant.
