I'm sure you've all heard that before but "Hello" was the song that made my jaw drop. It was then that I became a David Cook fan. Up to that point, I didn't feel very into anyone really. Brooke was the hometown girl much like Jordan was the year before. But once David sang "Hello", the contest was over for me. I knew I was going to buy and listen to whatever he sang and that he would be a success. Then came "Always Be My Baby". I had very low expectations from that week. I'm more of an alternative girl and Mariah just isn't my thing. And I really was curious to see what everyone would do with her songs. David blew me away. And to sing "Phantom of the Opera" so perfectly. He could play the Phantom on Broadway!

I was hooked for life. I then found every David Cook song I could get my hands on and listened and listened, and am still listening. I love Analog Heart and would love to hear those redone with some polish.

"Light On" is a good song. I thought it sounded a little poppy at first. But my knees nearly buckled when his voice went deep. You know the section I mean. I listened over and over again, closing my eyes. It was like I could feel him behind me, his breath in my ear, the slightest touch on my cheek. And then I open my eyes and he's gone. But I've got the light on. We'll always have the light on at our house.

My son is now a fan. He's 4! He loves to watch David Cook sing on my iTunes downloads from AI. He asks me to play "Hello" again and again. That's my boy! He can even sing it! If I ever can get my camera out in time, I'll film him singing. It's so stinkin cute.

So I love his voice. And his versatility. His lips (there are times I wouldn't mind being a microphone) and the way he stares you down with those eyes are icing on the cake. It amazes me how he has such a great connection with the camera. The TOML photo was my desktop for some time and it looked as if he could just walk off the screen. Love that photo! And he sings to a TV camera like someone's standing in front of him and he's serenading them.

I also love what I've seen of him as a person. He seems genuinly caring and sensitive. And it's not just words. His actions show how truly big his heart is. Absolutely the complete package.

That's why I'm a fan. A fan for life!
