What a nice surprise to wake up to this morning...a message from you. Sweel and thoughtful, as always. It sounds like you are enjoying the holidays with family and friends. I hope you are getting some very well-deserved rest and relaxation.

What a blessing you have been to your family, friends, and fans. You are truly an inspiration for all of us. As for your CD, I filled the top of several stockings just like you suggested.

I am so excited because I will be at the Mirage on December 30th to see you perform. It will be my first time seeing you live. I can hardly contain myself!!

How proud your mother and the rest of your family must be.! LOVE YOUR MOM!! I have the picture forever etched in my mind of her standing in the audience watching you sing "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,' with an absolute look of love that only a mother understands, and a tear running down her face. I will never hear that song without seeing that picture in my mind's eye.

Thank you for the ride! Can't wait for the rest of the journey!!

Why I'm a Fan

I have watched AI since the end of season 1. While I have had my favorites each year (and they usually do not win!), I have NEVER become so completely invested in AI until DAVID COOK came on the scene. I will admit, I am from Ogden, UT, and at first I was amazed by the beautiful voice of Archie. I still think he is amazing...just not my type of music, although I did not realize that until Cook opened his rockstar mouth and sang with such range and such emotion. He had me BEFORE "Hello." However, for me, there are so many more reasons to love David Cook. I am convinced he is a kind and caring guy, who is truly humbled by this journey he has been on. I believe him what he says if this all was gone tomorrow, he would be happy bartending and playing music for 10 people....the guy just wants to play music!!! I just love his interactions with his family and friends. There are so many to list, but for a few, the way he reacted when his mom put her head on his shoulder when he won AI, and his reaction....his close relationship and affection for Archie, as well as Michael Johns and Carly. Of course, we all LOVE Mavid...but some of his moments with Archie are so funny and touching at the same time. I love how he is a crusader for the causes he believes in, i.e., cancer, Luke Menard, etc. He is selfless and always promoting the success of his fellow idols. This is a guy who is confident and comfortable in his own skin. Also, taking his good friends and former band members, Neal and Andy, on this wonderful journey with him showcases his intelligence and, more importantly, love and loyalty to friends who helped him get where he is. What is there NOT to love about David Cook? If you think of something, let me know.
