Just that one word..."Hysterical!"

My vote went to "Permanent." It is, by far, my favorite song on the record. Not for reasons of commercial viability, but for the simple fact that it's David Cook working his craft. Finding self-expression through art. Baring his Soul and making a statement through his Music in a very masterful way. It is this quality in the man that first caught my interest, and I have to believe it is also a most liberating and satisfying thing for him to do.

Hey man --
I hope you're enjoying some down-time with family and friends, with all the love and comfort this season is about. I know you "get it." The real gifts are not the ones we painstakingly envelop in pretty paper affixed with shiny ribbons and bows. The contents of our hearts cannot be captured so. They can't be packaged. They can't be embodied in material things.
As a man, I understand the need to give tangible things. Things that can be touched, and turned over, and examined. Things that can be put to use in practical or playful ways. In a word, "stuff."

Very interesting song titles. Bar-ba-sol really has me wondering. Couldn't help but think of that funny Love Guru video when DA caught the blob of shaving cream...LOL! I'm ready for 11/18 to get here.
This will likely get me crucified, but here goes. Lose the eye makeup. You're the real deal, David. Don't let them go overboard making you "pretty."

I've downloaded LO for myself and gifted it to a few friends. But honestly, folks, posting here is preaching to the choir.
Relax and just let it happen. Enjoy the moment. Enjoy the song. Enjoy the gift of music and Spirit that David Cook brings to us all. Put your positive thoughts out to the Universe. We all know DC is a spectacular artist as well as a spectacular guy. Great things will happen for him, but we can't force the hand of Fate. What will be will be.

Adam Will Live Forever in Our Hearts
Dave --
Our thoughts are with You and Yours in this difficult time. You need to grieve. Aside from schedules and your own Brother's wishes, please allow yourself time to do just that. It's something you need to do.
Adam is a remarkable man, and so are you. I don't pretend to know you or your Brother. But I recognize Love and Resolve and Human Decency when I see them. From afar, you and Adam are both shining examples of those qualities in people. You should be proud of your Brother for that, and you should also be proud of yourself, as I'm sure Adam is proud of you.
