I use to go to Ameristar all the time. I went there in December and had some fun. They are getting rid of the Cabaret though. Anyhow I can't wait to see David again. Good to hear him sing his own stuff.

I really love this song. At first just reading the lyrics the other day before it was released to radio I just was having a hard time getting it. But after hearing Mix 93 play it I get it. It kind of reminds me of High School when you go hang out late at night and the parents leave the lights on. I'm going to guess maybe your mom might be some sort of inspiration for this song. Because I get the feeling this song is about you doing gigs and your mom always leaving the light on or leaving your room there so if you need to you could stay at home. But that's just what I'm guessing.
not all 1300 were sold
You Also have to take into consideration that not all 1300 tickets were on sale. Some were already given to radio stations. Plus some also are being held for David's family and friends and maybe the bands friends family and friends also. So who knows how many are being held for those reasons.
