I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...this man named David Roland Cook is a genius. Not only does he have stunning vocals that can both make you want to jump up and down banging your head, but also make your heart melt. He is a musician that literally wears his heart on his sleeve. He lets his fans see his vulnerability and heart. Lyrically, he writes poetry that challengers the listener, makes them think and makes them feel. He writes what he feels and isn't afraid to show all sides of himself. He is insanely smart and outrageously funny. His laugh is infectious and his smile literally lights up the room. On top of him being such a great guy and musician, he has surrounded himself with some of the most extraordinary people. I'm not just talking about his amazing family, but his friends as well (both old and new). They are always there to lend a supporting voice when he needs it and knock him down a notch or two when that's necessary. I don't think we could have pictured a better band to entertain us than Dave, Andy, Neal, Kyle and Joey. They're awesome and they will continue to rock our socks off and have a blast doing it. It amazes me that such outrageously talented people have found each other, but you won't hear me complaining in the least bit.
I'm a fan because David Cook and his band have given music back to the people and for that I am eternally grateful.
