I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...

Ok Davo, and others reading,

I am typing this straight-off-the-cuff with VERY little thought put into making it read immaculately. No, I'm not much of a wordsmith, by nature, so here I go.....

Why couldn't you ask me HOW I learned about you instead? It's so much easier to express.

Musically, especially in the last 15 years, I've always been disappointed in how forgettable and fickle artists were. Therefore, I lost interest very quickly and nothing seemed to have the staying power of the stuff I grew up with. Very disheartening!!

Then I see you, David, and you spoke and I believed you. I started listening more and you actually followed through with what you said you were going to bring to the table. You are intelligent and that translates to thoughtfulness and seriousness about your craft.

You listened to and respected the various 'mentors' on Idol and that meant alot to me.

You revisited your friends, your home town and your music teacher and honoured their contribution to your life.

I got invested in you throughout Idol in a holistic way and apart from one incident, I believed you all the way and still do.

In short, I believe you will have staying power so you are worthy..........or was it wordy?
