And, what is a friend? The definition of a friend might be different to me than it is to you. I have a lot of people that I am friendly with - but are they really friends? And just as the way we define friends is different, our needs are different. I don't think there's anything wrong with you just because your needs are different. You sound like you are fairly self contained - and happy with your own company, that's definitely not a bad thing.
I love having friends, but I love my own company, as well & don't need to hang out with others a lot to be content. -

Just popping in to say hi - and to tell you to go ahead & give in (not that I want to be a bad influence...)! But then, of course, I find that you've already given in - it was so worth it, wasn't it? And, yeah, I love the song, too. I interpret it pretty much the same way you do. But I've seen another interpretation that's pretty cool, too.

Actually, I didn't think it was half-baked & rambling, at all. I thought it was fully baked, intelligent & focused. It was my favorite of your blogs, so far.
Just a word of caution regarding your inner fan girl, if she's anything like mine, she can be hard to rein in once you have let her out.

Yeah, David, "Light On" is just the tip of the iceberg. I have listened numerous times (on popeater & the radio stations' play on demand) & I must say I love your voice in this song. And, like everyone else, I can't wait to actually hear this on the radio.
The rest of the album? I can't wait! (like I have a choice.)
