David, David, David,
Write about anything, write about the AI Tour, your a good lyricist and you have the amazing voice to express it.
I have just been listening to Led Zepppelin , Earls Court 1975, singing 'Bron-Yr-A-ur-Stomp' written for Robert Plant's dog "Strider" and 'Going to California', apparently written for Joni Mitchell....,
Write and sing about what is close to your heart and don't let them sabotage you with over production. 'Analog Heart is fabulous!
I know it's tough, but to quote Randy from AI " you can do this"
You can!!!

Great to hear your response, but I've lost it, so hope you read this and can get back to me.
Both obviously wishing David the best, but this was not it.

So pleased that everybody loves this single, but......it sounds like 'pressured to release' to me.
I'm a huge fan of David Cook , he has a valuable voice, but where is that magic of "Analog Heart", where's 'Makeover' , 'Straight Ahead' , there's some good lyrics in' Light On,' but they are inoculated by a need to release mentality, we have here a mix of trying to make a big song-Bon Jovi's You've Got to Hold on......broken up with a regular beat chorus. Not good enough for a talent like David Cook's. -

I had to listen a couple of times, thought at first -hmmm? On further listening I really liked it.
I think I was surprised at first that it was a bit 'pop'. I do think it is really catchy and should do well on the charts. It's a great vehicle for David's voice-he sounds fantastic. -

Here I am in NZ, struggling to paint for an exhibition. Everytime I lost heart I flicked on to YouTube and watched your stunning performances .
Just when I was saddened there would be no new clips, here you are graciously reading and answering emails. Thankyou so much.
Can't wait to buy your new album- a very pertinent question from 'widz' ---will it be released internationally on the 18th?
All the best to you and your family. You continue to inspire so many of us and deserve everyone's best wishes!!

Footnote to my comment
David,
To quote/misquote, your man ,Abraham Lincoln (I'm writing from NZ)
"You can please some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time---so you just have to please yourself!
Go with that and you'll be able to express the wonderful talent you have.
All the best.
Helen
