I first got hooked on David Cook during the top 10 guys week when Simon criticised Dave's crosswords clip for being boring. I was all *pshhh this guy totally doesn't know what women like - intelligent men!* It was such a breathe of fresh air that a contestant wasn't afraid to admit and show his nerdy side. I loved it!

And then came the voice. When he did Hello the week after, I all about melted and probably watched that on youtube about a hundred times. I was totally addicted from then on. I just couldn't get enough. Heck, I bought my first ever iPod just so I could listen and watch DC everywhere I go.

I started going online to find out more about David the musician, and I fell in love with David the man. His heart and personality just won me over and I found it incredibly touching that in this day and age, someone like him still exists. His compassion for others (and esp that for his family) is beyond words! He truly is the nicest and most sincere contestant AI has ever had. Heck, he is one of the nicest and most sincere musician to ever come out of America. Don't ever change that about yourself David. Stay true to yourself and we fans will continue staying true to you.

What can I say? How often do you find a musician who is not only talented, but is also very intelligent, funny, good-looking, and compassionate at the same time? Not very often, I'd say. So I'm gonna keep on being a fan as long as you keep being you, Dave. You are the real deal!
