  • I'm really stoked about the news that David Cook and The Anthemic will be playing in Milwaukee on November 11th. That's a road trip I can definitely make. Looking forward to more details about tickets, venue etc. I would rather see DCTA in a club-type venue but it looks like they're booked into a venue with theater seating. Does the venue honestly think that David Cook fans will stay seated during the concert? I laugh, I scoff, aka no way, Jose. We'll be dancing and singing in the aisles.

  • I picked up my darling daughter (DD) and her best friend (BFF), after DD finished her afternoon drama camp at 5 p.m. We had to fight rush-hour traffic on two major arterials just to get out of Madison, so it was close to 5:30 before we got on the road. In the first of "Several Things I Wish I'd Done / Had Happened Differently" I chose to ignore the fairgrounds' own travel directions and instead chose a more direct but also more scenic (e.g. not-main-highway) route.

  • I was waaaay up at the top of the hill (possibly near nagle), on the far stage-left side, which was (IMO) in the "purple" area on that diagram. The sound was fantastic up there, which was a good thing as I was cellcasting the show for Mandy. So while I couldn't see much, even with binoculars, everything sounded great.

  • I don't assume that David is a choir boy. We know he drinks; we've seen photos (numerous) of him drinking and some where he looked downright drunk. I'm sure that if he imbibes anything other than alcohol, he's discreet about it. Regardless, I agree that he does get a natural high from performing. He's one of those people who was born to perform, and based on the past year, I believe he's level-headed enough to avoid a lot of the problems that come with celebrity.

  • And where is this music club located? Might help to know that Smiling)

  • * DCTR FTMFW!!!! Platinum, baby! Nobody deserves it more than David Cook.

    * CBTM *and* Bar-Ba-Sol as the new singles, released to different formats?? I can dig it. I love both songs and I think RCA is smart to release them to different radio formats. David needs to have a chance to get onto the Rock charts, and BBS is probably his best chance, though IMO ADAM would be a good choice too. My only disappointment is that David still hasn't released a single that he actually wrote, but all in good time.
