Each time I listen to this album, I seem to discover a deeper meaning to the songs, which causes me to have a greater and greater appreciation of David's talent. Lie, and Permanent are my favorites. Permanent strikes a cord with me on a very personal level, because of what I went through when my mother was very ill. I have a good cry every time I listen to it. I love the video of "Light On", more than hearing the song alone. It is such a difficult song to sing, and I don't think it makes the most of David's beautiful voice.

David:
Congratulations on the platinum record! Dublin is adorable! I am sure that having him around will be comforting, especially when you head out on the road again. Ahhhh! Somebody cute and cuddly that won't be expecting anything from you, except a pat on the head. Being of Irish descent, I think the name Dublin is great! I'm going to try to stay awake long enough to watch you on Jimmy Kimmel tonight. Can't wait to see you on tour. Be well, be happy, be yourself! We are all here for you!!

Oh! I am sorry that I didn't get a chance to get online on your actual B-Day! We got snowed in here in RI, and I spent the day bundling and unbundling my kids all day so that they could play in the snow! I wish you all the best in the upcoming year! 26 is a great age! Hope you had a spectacular time on your birthday!

I'm a BIG fan, but I wasn't able to keep up with all of David's appearances throughout November/December. Real life interferred with my catching the plaza show and various other TV appearances. Thank goodness for this interactive website, it helps me feel "connected". And most of all, I love hearing the latest directly from David!

I think it's great that you chose this video as your favorite! Part of what makes you so appealing is your BIG HEART! This is similiar to what goes on in my house when we are listening to your album. You have a lot of fans both big and small!!!

HAPPY FIRST TOUR!!!!!!!
David:
I am soooo happy for you! Only 2 more days until you kick things off! I guess I won't be seeing you this time around, because you aren't coming close enough to Rhode Island. I have a little guy at home who wouldn't fair well with Mommy being away over night (if I traveled to see you in Connecticut.) Anyway, I am hopeful that I will see you at some point in the future. Wishing you all the best: great audiences, sell-out crowds, good road conditions, restful night's of sleep, and just the BEST TIME EVER traveling with your band and puppy in tow!!!
Love,
Mary
