2009 Changes, Struggle, Growth

2009 appears to be my own Life On The Moon. Many changes have taken place in a week and as I grapple with them my mind peers into the future to determine what it will be like. Like most things there is good and bad, pro and con, easy and difficult. I've never been one to make much over New Years Resolutions but this year may be the exception.

A Day In Spokane

Hello Friends:

Hubby's surgery has gone well. It sure helps having David on the MP3 in my ear as I wait. I'll bet he has no idea how many places he goes and how many traumas he helps with. It's great to know so many good wishes are coming from so many directions. Thank you..MusicLVR

Hi David....RG #5 here. I'm on the West Coast so WalMart isn't open in our town yet. 5 minutes and they will open at 6AM but I called yesterday and they won't have it on the shelf until around 8AM. I have your CDs ordered from 3 different places and have informed my grandkids that I'm getting them one. I send out emails to them called Cookie Crumb Alerts from Rockin' Grandma #5. They all are young adults and like you a lot.

Why I'm a Fan

I'm a fan and you should be too because...David Cook is the real deal. Few are as deserving of the following he's aquired. He's not only a well rounded musician, capable of writing, playing and performing an incredible one-man CD but he has shown the staying power of doing whatever he needed to do to follow this dream, during high school, during college and beyond. He has years of experience in connecting with an audience and the stage is his, the audience is his, and we, the fans, are his.

Putting all that aside I love his sense of humor which being a word nerd just enhances. Some people call me a punny person and I identify and respond to another goof. Music and humor are responsible for getting me through some pretty tough times and I respect such powerful tools. His kindness is unlimited.

David's willingness to take us with him through the process of what is American Idol while remaining true to himself and his music was truly a gift and I appreciate being along for the ride. It has given me food for thought and strength to try new things and ideals to live up to. I can't wait to see where he will take us in the future.
