Hi, David--so you're leaving, but you want the light on to help you return--sounds like you're being "Optimistically pessimistic" in this relationship. I love the use of the word "naked" in describing the light--it conjurs up the harshness of a bare bulb and yet the tenderness of a nude lover. I'm looking forward to hearing the melody. Thanks for the preview!

Hi, David--my teenaged son has me reading the Eragon series, and I love it, and it makes me wonder about your favorite books as you grew up, and who your favorite authors are now? Are there any books you definitely want to read to your own children someday?

The words "light" and "on" can have many meanings--I'm sure David has created something interesting!

7 minutes of silence--WHY??!!
No, surfgirl, you didn't get a defective copy. For whatever reason, the CD contains 7 minutes of dead air before the last two songs, Kiss On the Neck and Time of My Life. I love David, and I bet this wasn't his idea, but I think 7 minutes of dead air is rude. Why not add another song? If I bought a ticket to a live show, and the performers sat silently on stage for 7 minutes, I'd feal insulted, and I feel the same way about the 7 minutes of dead air on the CD. I think it's disrespectful, and I would love to hear the explanation for it. But so much of the CD is wonderful!!
