This is how I became the David Cook fan that I am today. It all began in January when the American Idol auditions were going on. I have to say that I've never been into Idol. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but my favorite never seemed to win, so I basically gave up after season 4. I guess it probably would have helped if I had of voted for my favorite, but anyway. I really liked Daughtry when he was on, but we all know how that ended (yep, still bitter!), so I wasn't even going to watch Idol this season. I just happened to be at my sisters during David's audition and was captivated by his voice. It has held me captive ever since!! I knew right then and there that if he were going to be on Idol, I was going to bite the bullet and watch Idol. David's voice and his tone and just everything about the way he sounds kept me rivoted to the tv screen week after week. I thought he was cute, but lots of people in this world are cute. It was only after his personality shone through week after week that my attraction for him grew and grew. He's gorgeous on the inside and out!! His smile, his eyes, the way he carries himself is just a bonus to the most amazing voice I've ever had the pleasure to hear. I searched the web and found david-cook.org where I made lots of friends that I still have to this day. It helped with my growing affection for David. In August, I went with a bunch of friends I made from that site and had the pleasure of meeting David and even though I only got a mere minute with him, it was worth it. He was amazing! He's so generous with his time and his heart, that it made me walk away knowing that all of my voting, all of my prayers, all of my heart that I have invested in this man is well worth it! He's very deserving. This year on Idol was a journey I never anticipated taking, and I never thought I'd give so much of myself to a "star", but I have. He holds a special place of my heart reserved just for him. He's a one of a kind person and I'm proud to be his fan!! I'll be a face among the crowd of many that adore him from afar and wish only happiness, health, success, and love for this man who has made me smile just by being himself! Thanks David!
