I think I know the reason why you are receiving this incredible outpouring of love, care and concern from your fans. It's because you love so openheartedly.We see that in you and it opens our hearts. It makes us want to be better at giving love. So from our open hearts, we pour forth love and appreciation to you. And you are so good at being in the moment with it, taking it in, really feeling it. So you take it in and give it back again.

Back in February, I gave a talk at a church in Greeley, CO, and used Dabid Cook's openhearted love as an example to aspire to. If you want to listen, here's the sendspace link. It's a 35 minute talk, but I use most of my David stuff in the first 10 minutes.

Yesterday pictures surfaced of David Cook getting ready (like inches away getting ready) for his first on-screen kiss. I love the way they say that. Yes, we can all agree he's probably kissed someone off screen before. The effect of those pictures was to induce a spontaneous multiple orgasm of epic proportions and length at DWoP. Five pages of postings and four hours on one picture/topic. None of them longer than a few incoherent sentences. That sound you heard yesterday?

Typical, and Extraordinary
Dear David,
Your comportment throughout the last two months is what, astonishingly, we have come to know as typical from you. Self effacing, kind, generous of your time and presence, openhearted to a degree I cannot fathom, and yet able to make it not about you as much as possible.
Running the race, announcing Adam's death, and moving through the day with such ease and selfless giving to the survivors and other participants there lifts your typical behavior to extraordinary grace.
