This was a killer set list, but some serious sound problems kept this from making it to the top of my concert lists. It was, of course, fantastic, as all of David Cook & The Anthemic's concerts are.

This is a technical suggestion for everyone who loves when Jen or others provide MP3s made from videos of David's performances (or any videos on youtube - and a huge thanks to Jen and everyone else who takes the time do make MP3's and upload them to the file share servers for us).
There's an easy alternative that you can all do all by yourself, if you download the most up-to-date Real Player. You may have to pay for a basic subscription but it's pretty cheap. I'm not sure if the free download offers this.

Gueseppe, my dear, you nailed it! Spot on recap! I am so sorry I didn't see you there! I had the same reaction to the crowd... and my experience comes from an additional perspective: I was literally exhausted from camping out in nearl 90-degree weather all day in Hollywood followed by the 3 hour "show of a lifetime." But a minute into the first song David and the band reenergized me and re-set my brain. I realized this crowd of mostly Cook-concert "newbies" was there because they like what they hear on the radio, they remembered him from Idol, and/or they bought the album and loved it.

As others of said, this is the true meaning of brevity. Sometimes less is more! This is one of those times.

Welcome Paul
I hope you get to one of his shows this fall. I guarantee you it will be the best concert ever. I'm going to #8 on Sunday in Newport Beach, CA. We thought David had forgotten about us on the West Coast, but then a ton of shows came our way - we're very lucky. David has family in Indiana so you never know... you may just run into him one day!
