I attended this, my second concert, with my dear 21 year old daughter. We arrived around 4:30 and immediately met Peggy (peggymgr) and her lovely daughter. I also had the pleasure of meeting Brisblondie. After scoping out the area for 30 minutes or so, we decided to line up and chatted with random fans behind us. The doors opened a little after 6:30 and everyone filtered into the venue. This was my first concert at the Palladium (formerly Gilley's) and, may I say, the place is cavernous. I was a little concerned that there would be a sparse turnout.

You have articulated in item #3 precisely what needs to be done in order to gain DC more "street cred". I presume such credibility was the initial aim of the college tours. Good grief, the man could tour until he's old and gray on such small campuses. Also, in your strategy, he would be playing larger cities more often. I confess I fail to understand how his 2009 tour doesn't take him to places like Dallas. Great observations as usual!

to take time from your hectic schedule to thank everyone. I can't wait to hear BBS and Come Back to Me on radio. Now in my best Mom voice, I'll tell you and your band to be safe, take care of yourselves, and get some rest.

that all those dollars spent on college tuition yielded something "fruitful". If this whole music thing doesn't pan out, at least you have other marketable skills!

WTF is that on the floor?
Oh, my! I'll never watch another lead singer without thinking of those positions. Fabulous recap. Funny though, I could have sworn he was looking directly at me in Dallas. Lovely to meet you!
