It was a gorgeous drive from DC to Charlottesville. I took the back roads to avoid the monstrous traffic on I-95S (seriously, where are all of these people going on a Sunday afternoon? Aren’t they supposed to be home watching football?). I was enjoying the beginnings of the beautiful fall foliage while listening to Avalanche. Then a tweet from Dave (I know I shouldn’t have looked while I was driving, but I couldn’t resist). If the Chiefs win he’ll play Avalanche -- one of the few songs I haven’t yet heard live. And Avalanche is playing right now on my car stereo. Could it be a sign?

Passionate is only way to describe David at the WV State Fair. Passionate for his music, his fans, his friends and colleagues. From the opening notes of Heroes to the last “whoa whoa” in A Daily Anthem, David gave us everything he had in his heart and soul. He took the crowd on a ride that had us laughing, almost crying, dancing, jumping, shouting, singing his songs at the top of our lungs.

A Gracious Southern Hostess!
I would have expected nothing less than this level of hospitality from you. My only disappointment (for you, not for me -- I'm perfectly ok never seeing David or any of the boyz nekked) it that the only nudity in your dream was your sister's. Better luck next time on that!
